I'm in the camp that lights are a really bad idea for any weapon. Especially a white light. Having night eye is far more beneficial than illuminating an area.
If you need illumination, there are better options than a flashlight.
IR laser $200 to $500, Night vision goggles $300 to $3000 , peep sights as low as $30.
If you are a lone shooter moving through terrain like he was you're dead. If you're facing off with multiple baddies you don't want to broadcast your location any more than a muzzle flash. Engage to suppress only when necessary and regress whenever possible. Kill them if you can but the ultimate goal is to survive. FYI cars make shit cover. a frikkin' 22LR will go through a car door at 100m. 5.56 will go through and through. If you go out there bouncing around with a fuckin' flashlight you're begging to get hit.
So the most important rifle upgrade? Another shooter with another rifle that can cover you while you move.
The shooter.
Winner! practice!
This Pede gets it.
The correct answer is always "chainsaw bayonet."

Training, training is the best upgrade.
drum mag or triangle bayonet, hard to say...
Dooode! you are bad!
Marksmanship training and a tomahawk. Everyone needs a tomahawk and maybe a larger caliber, but yes, marksmanship training and a hatchet.
All the extra ammo you can afford.
