That George Floyd thing was horrific. I don't care if the dude had JUST killed someone, a cop doesn't get to be judge, jury, and executioner. I was all for police reform at that point.
And then the riots popped off, and the left began suggesting crazy ass shit like reparations and defunding the police. At that point they lost me and my desire for police reform.
Then this Atlanta thing happens. As justified a police shooting as you will EVER see. Cop is still fired, morons burn down the Wendys and you have the liberal media pointing to this as more "evidence" of police brutality.

Way too many times, the thugs in blue shoot and kill someone and when the footage is not in favour of the cops, they try and get the court to not allow the footage in the trial.
Also, way too many of these body footage cams can be turned on and off by the cops.

I'm for all the things in the comment above yours, especially help for PTSD. The thing is as far as footage goes, there has to be some kind of discretion because if we get to the point of cops having to think way too much before they decide to kill someone, suddenly it becomes a hazard to them and to the innocent public. They are required to make snap instinctual judgments at times, which will usually be right but occasionally wrong. If a cop may lose his life or go to jail forever because of one wrong instinct, fewer good intelligent people will want to be cops because it's just not worth the risk. And overall things will really worsen for our society. I'd rather an occasional criminal have excessive force used on him than to have our whole system break down. Just a thought.
For the life of me I do not understand why these things do not turn on when they encounter any lawbreaker.

For evidence of this, look at how Obama’s Gestapo treated the President of the United States and Michael Flynn. Look at how fascist Democrat governors utilized the police during the lockdown.

Yeah, It’s not about George Floyd. I looked at the demands - most are crazy and stupid. However, reducing unions is appealing as they often defend bad cops and allow them to keep their jobs - however, the only reason the left wants unions gone is to weaken police to eventually defund them. The Atlanta cop will get support from other cops, an attorney, maybe the department will defend him, and maybe more public support. Division won’t fix shit - the majority of the black community despite and fear criminals as much as anyone else and it’s a minority looting and ‘not snitchin’. Discrimination is really a non-issue, but there is a fearful perception in the black community that leads to escalations - officers need to be in the communities and part of these communities and decent people need to side and trust police to stand up to criminals.

I had the opposite happen. I watched as a friend got arrested for not wearing a mask as another got arrested for opening a business. Floyd was killed because he was a WASTE of skin drug addict that was going to blow the whole corrupt scheme SKY HIGH! They killed him and used riots as excuse to burn down CLUB and Police precinct that had EVIDENCE of investigation into the Club!
