Sounds like what happens on WeChat.

That should be scary to people, but they don’t care because technology is their God now.

It's the fact that companies all over the country are censoring people who speak conservative views, not the fact that they're banned from Fuckerberg's social network. Imagine if Hillary had won. Conservatives wouldn't be allowed to speak anymore online, and there would possibly be work (if not a successful death blow) on destroying the first amendment by classifying conservative opinions (A.K.A. "hate speech" or "facts") as not free speech.

Four years in, and some people still don't get how damned lucky we are to have Trump as president. I pray that he wins again this year or else we are truly fucked.

It's a public utility at this point. Can't we designate it as such?

Definitely not a public utility.

The thing that makes me the angriest about this is the very people who use free speech - the actors, the comedians, the late night talk show hosts.. Those scumbags. They are the ones who should be screaming against cancel culture and censorship the loudest. They should be using their power to push back and stop the fascism. But, they aren't. They are joining in. It's disgusting.

They're being told what to say by their owners. It's like...actors are good at acting, or something like that.

The left has never understood that saying mean and offensive things is actually also free speech. They’re a danger to the country.

Freedom means being free of them.

And reddit. And Twitter. And YouTube. And spotify. And everything

I always suspected Net Neutrality was a real trap for free speech and my hunch turned out correct. ISPs can and should be regulated like utilities, and stopping Net Neutrality means monopolies like facebook and twitter can be throttled if they chose to censor opposing views.
