This is a question that has been bothering me for years and I've yet to find the answer. It doesn't matter what it is, the left always controls the conversation. A couple of days ago was President Trumps birthday, yet all you saw on Twitter were the organized groups pushing Obama as a way to thumb their nose at Trump.
Now we are wrapped up in this Black Lives Matter riots where everything is called racist and it passes unchallenged. There is no push back any more.
I'm feeling very defeated. Tonight people on Twitter were going after Dominos for tweeting a thank you to Trumps press secretary.... 8 years ago. The Twitter mob will now destroy you for being nice to someone who is considered evil almost a decade ago. Who wants to bet Dominos will issue an apology tomorrow?
Democrats control most of the major institutions in our country (social media, MSM, colleges, Fortune 500 companies). Based upon that they're going to always control the narrative. You're not alone in feeling defeated pede, i'm starting to feel the same way.
Most conservatives have it in their minds that if they accept the fraudulent terms of the enemy they will somehow convince people. This is where you get moronic rhetoric like trying to call democrats "racist." Using the term "racist" legitimizes it and helps them win, even if people think they are pushing back. Conservatives need to wake up and realize that this is a power game, and no amount of logic or argumentation is going to win it. You can't fight on their terms and expect to come out on top.
It is because Republicans are a bunch of RINOS. POTUS is alone on almost everything. Think about it. They knew that Obama was leading a soft coup against him, and they sat on their asses. They had both houses, and did shit! Where are the Republicans calling out the violence and bullshit that has been happening over the last two weeks? There are Republicans and the Trump Republicans. There is a huge difference.
I've spoken to many people (mostly family and church members) and all of them say that something has to happen, but they also say that they are terrified of being targeted or attacked or losing friends because they stood up to the left. I've lost a couple of friends because they learned I was a Trump supporter. I tweeted a Happy Birthday to the President the other day and got a DM from a very good friend who was appalled I'd say that.
Honestly, who cares? Why does your friend feel like it is his duty to call you out on your tweet. I wouldn't want friends like that.
Control the conversation...where? Conversations happen in both time and space, so which spaces are we talking about here? For twitter the answer is easy - twitter has banned, is banning, and will continue to ban political speech their CEO and top employees disagree with.
They are allowed to do this because they are a (nearly) unregulated business.
