Seriously this. Police do not want to fight. They don't want the paperwork or the internal review of an injured suspect. You go quietly, they'll take you in quietly.
Same with the Aurora theater shooter. Left all the guns on the ground and went out to his car. Didn't put up any resistance when cops came. Cops also had an astounding response time of like 90 seconds. Imagine what would have happened if they were defunded... dude would have probably just driven away.
The Broward County High School shooter just went to get Subway afterwords, but that could just be because the MK ULTRA programming tends to get loopy after the mission is completed.
