so the stories about the FDA revoking the emergency use of it are fake? God I just can't keep up with the truth anymore because of how bad fake news is distorting it.
No, it IS true, and that's the problem. The way they spin it makes it sound terrible.
The emergency use declaration has been cancelled because it is no longer necessary.
Imagine you are at a restaurant that sells sandwiches. They have limited supplies of ham and cheese sandwiches and want to save them for people who are allergic to PB&J, so they mark their menu: "Ham & Cheese: only for people allergic to Peanuts"
Now imagine that restaurant one day gets plenty of ham and cheese and no longer needs to ration it for people with allergies and removes that item from the menu and replaces it with just regular old Ham and Cheese.
An honest report would be that Ham and Cheese is now available to everyone.
What the Fake News instead reports is "Restaurant removes protections for people with allergies"
The problem is the news about the emergency approval being revoked is true, but they fail to mention it is now seen as a normal drug that can be prescribed by a doctor outside of hospitals. This is how fake news works, put out a misleading headline since most people only read headlines now, but bury the truth deep in the article to avoid libel and slander. America needs an army of Walter Cronkite clones to run the media.
That news story is soooo infuriating to read. The entire thing is one big triple speak obfuscation of what happened. They spend 80% of the story rehashing what has been said and done up until now (all the 'HCQ bad, mkay!' stuff anyway... ).
It's almost criminal.
FDA now says the data indicates the drugs are not effective against COVID-19 and that, given the possibility of serious side effects, the risks no longer outweigh the potential benefit.
What??! What doe... 'the risks no longer outweigh the benefit'?
So... wait what? The risks outweighing the benefit means 'don't take it because the risks are potentially GREATER than the benefit' right? That's how it's worded, yes? I'm reading that properly?
Then why the FUCK -- other than for pure confusion of the matter -- would you put that sentence AFTER saying 'FDA now says ... the drugs are not effective AND that, given the possibility of serious side effects'
that first part has 0 fucking bearing on anything when you end with 'the risks no longer outweigh the benefit'.
Will pharmacists now stop refusing to fill this medication for off-label use? Or will they continue to do what the governor and/or corporate tells them to do?
edit: In other words, will this stop tyrannical governors from abusing their power? Because that would be wonderful.
They are always going after natural supplement suppliers. I took a course in alternative medicine in the early 90's, and an entire day of class was spent on how to protect your rights and stay out of jail.
The've been doing that since 1964. The FDA only exists to take anything that works off the shelf, and restrict it to Rx. And to kill as many as possible.
I noted this yesterday, they didn’t recommend it for emergency use. Like end of life use. Although drs are free to prescribe it. They are right, everything shows it works dandy earlier in the disease progression, not so well when you’ve been on a ventilator for a month.
Imagine how many thousands fewer would've died if Democrats and their press pets hadn't spent months fearmongering over hydroxychloroquine and blocking its use, all because they just couldn't tolerate letting Trump have a "win" by having acknowledged it?
Just not sending infected seniors back into nursing homes would have saved thousands. They knew the elderly were the most vulnerable and still did that. People like Cuomo are mass murderers imo.
Is this situation now any better, or is it worse? FDA is subject to POTUS, but disciplinary boards are not and I think any MD that prescribes or pharmacist that fills loses their license? This needs to be brought under control
There seems to be an effort to cause anxiety and confusion by telling people different facts everyday. Masks help, masks hurt, surfaces are dangerous, surfaces are fine, and now this...
And in all reality, it requires Zinc for the biggest bang for the buck.
So even then, the majority of Hospital studies didn't introduce Zinc, as far as I've seen.
That guy can't even practice real medicine since he got kicked out of residency for being a shitstain. Also he's a rapist and made his victim "like" and retweet his shitty tweets when they knew each other
I was just telling my wife yesterday how saddened I was about the FDA revoking HCQ for covid. I couldn't understand why it would have happened especially watching the presser Trump had with Azar. Wow, I should have known it was fake news.
WMAL radio ran this fake news yesterday, going so far as to say the FDA had removed the use of HCQ due to heart problems patients had experienced. I never heard a retraction after Alex Azar cleared up the misinformation.
Why was it EVER different from other drugs? This is the thing I don't understand
I mean before Trump ever said anything about it. Or was it the case when Trump said its name they instituted some kind of emergency block on hydroxychloroquine?
If the latter is the case, there will be enormous lawsuits that will fundamentally change sectors of industry forever.
Correct! 15 years ago it was known choroquine would cure anything like this. Fauci knew, too. Then before we heard anything about it in the US, over 3,000 CCPvirus patients had been studied on it. All did well.
All the claims "we don't know" are LIES! This is deliberate mass murder. At least 90,000 did not have to die.
The fda doesn’t get involved with off label uses prescribed by doctors. A manufacturer CAN’t advertise for off label use or they’ll get in trouble. But they won’t go after doctors for off label use of approved drugs.
The problem isn't the FDA, but medical boards who discipline Drs and pharmacists, causing them to lose their license. I don't know the effect of this change, worse, better, or no change.
Yeah, the leftism penetrates deep and I am sure these boards have their fill who will block the drugs because of orange man bad. Just a shit situation. I see it from the inside of the pharmaceutical industry
HCQ has already been banned by 40+ Governors. If you haven't seen it yet I'd be curious to know which State?
And if you haven't seen it yet I'm curious to know what change this produces. For example, here in WI even a lupus patient can't get HCQ that they've depended on for decades. That's potentially deadly as I understand it.
Now that the pandemic is over and we don't need the drug anymore. You can give it to whoever you like. Even if the person doesn't have a disease treated by this drug!
That's just the FDA. It's the medical boards disciplining Drs for prescribing and pharmacists for filling, causing them to lose their license that's the problem.
That stuff is amazing. It was developed when the white envelopes went around after 911. I could go on and on about how it restores water damaged / mold damaged things.
No it is not. ClO2 is bleach tablets used for emergency disinfection of drinking water from lakes and streams. They would be harmful if taken regularly and especially with tap water that already contains chlorine or chloromines. Chlorine interferes with oxygen uptake in hemoglobin and would cause shortness of breath.
Have you not passed basic chemistry? Cl02 is not bleach, nor is it chlorine. In fact, it specifically purifies water, so no it wouldn't be harmful if taken with tap water. It would actually make the tap water safer. Now, when it comes to being an effective treatment for disease, what it does is, when a ClO2 molecule comes into contact with any sort of disease or bacteria, it rips electrons from the cell and destroys it.
I'm sure you're just ignorant on basic chemistry, but that's okay, you can still learn.

That is literally what has happened here.
Ok thank you for the explanation
Correct. The control before was so the most sickest could have the drug avalable.
We had 40 MILLION pills, donated to the US before 3/30.
Don't believe the bs about "so the sickest could have the drug available."
It's deliberate mass murder. Not sure if this means our Governor's reign of terror is over or what
What an awesome explanation!
I should have suspected the MSM was spinning good news!
I heard this news yesterday and was thinking that the FDA was going behind Trump's back or something
thank you for this clarification! s much fake news to wade through, it's insane!

That's a 100% fear-mongering paragraph.
Fucking hell...
They've been saying that for months
Will pharmacists now stop refusing to fill this medication for off-label use? Or will they continue to do what the governor and/or corporate tells them to do?
edit: In other words, will this stop tyrannical governors from abusing their power? Because that would be wonderful.
Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. People need to be able to get life-saving medication and it's criminal the way politicians are keeping it from them.
This has been happening for months already, in 40+ States.
We had 40 million pills of HCQ donated tot he US before 3/30. Before May 1 close to a half billion were scheduled to ship.
There is NO shortage! Neither is there enough to give enough for preventative use for everyone
In medical with that username doe... kek
Like the proctologist whos license place is ASSMAN
Wait - you're assman?
The FDA is a cartel. They're currently going after natural supplement products and suppliers.
The AAPS (Association of American Physicians & Surgeons) is very based. It’s the non-SJW version of the American Medical Association.
Almost Medicine Anyway?
Will be joining them. Thanks for bringing them to our attention!

ahem
The answer is OVER 90,000
That's how many 40+ Governors are guilty of mass murdering.
I do not like them
Is this situation now any better, or is it worse? FDA is subject to POTUS, but disciplinary boards are not and I think any MD that prescribes or pharmacist that fills loses their license? This needs to be brought under control
.
There seems to be an effort to cause anxiety and confusion by telling people different facts everyday. Masks help, masks hurt, surfaces are dangerous, surfaces are fine, and now this...
The "emergency use" was for hospitalized covid patients but HCQ wasn't working for them anyway, it's only effective before hospitalization.
https://medicine.yale.edu/yigh/news-article/25085/
Of course Democrats conflated this because they can't stand Trump being right about anything, but there you go
And in all reality, it requires Zinc for the biggest bang for the buck. So even then, the majority of Hospital studies didn't introduce Zinc, as far as I've seen.
Correct. This paper linked here does say that if you add zinc to HCQ + AZ, both hospitalizations and deaths are cut in half.
That guy can't even practice real medicine since he got kicked out of residency for being a shitstain. Also he's a rapist and made his victim "like" and retweet his shitty tweets when they knew each other
Media must be held accountable. How about class action lawsuits against them For lies that cause death
This "correction" is accurate.
Who knows anymore...Close the CDC and problems like this go away.
I made the mistake if reading the comments on the ABC story. I am now convinced, orange man bad. /s
omg me 2 there arguments made SO much sence that i turned! hail communism!
Wow, literal fake news.
Excellent, I had a toe that needed looking at. Now I can get the medical care I deserve.
I was just telling my wife yesterday how saddened I was about the FDA revoking HCQ for covid. I couldn't understand why it would have happened especially watching the presser Trump had with Azar. Wow, I should have known it was fake news.
what the fuck? the reality is completely opposite to what the news is reporting
WMAL radio ran this fake news yesterday, going so far as to say the FDA had removed the use of HCQ due to heart problems patients had experienced. I never heard a retraction after Alex Azar cleared up the misinformation.
Can we sue these liars? Like class action, for the consequences of their disinformation?
I really hope they're using these fake stories to weed out the leakers and anonymous sources
Not in NY.
Why was it EVER different from other drugs? This is the thing I don't understand

No I have seen it, it’s disgusting.
It's mass murder. This is no mistake.
Just a friendly reminder that cl02 is also effective at treating the rona and you can get it now on amazon
That stuff is amazing. It was developed when the white envelopes went around after 911. I could go on and on about how it restores water damaged / mold damaged things.
How do you take it in this application?
No it is not. ClO2 is bleach tablets used for emergency disinfection of drinking water from lakes and streams. They would be harmful if taken regularly and especially with tap water that already contains chlorine or chloromines. Chlorine interferes with oxygen uptake in hemoglobin and would cause shortness of breath.
The FDA has issued a 'bona fide warning' about ClO2 product claims.
I'm sure you don't mean to, but it makes you sound like a "Trump says I should drink bleach" troll.
Have you not passed basic chemistry? Cl02 is not bleach, nor is it chlorine. In fact, it specifically purifies water, so no it wouldn't be harmful if taken with tap water. Not to be taken internally in the crude way presented here
For what, if you want to drink someone's spit? It is portrayed as quack medicine. I suggest to ignore this person and just consult the ClO2 Wiki page.
Did you seriously just link to wikipedia? LOL. Bro, you've lost all credibility. XD
That was fast...
