Yes, but it's more than that. The philosophy that leads one to say "abortion is fine" is the philosophy that results in what the Left is. When Christian philosophy was the majority, the minority said "I can be moral without Christianity." Well, the current reality is the proof that that isn't possible. Without a respect for objective reality and truth, society devolves to the opposite of that. The middle ground is too unstable to last. So, if you're for abortion (meaning, you've rejected the inherent value in a human being, or that a baby is a human being), you're for transgenders, equal outcomes, wealth redistribution, etc., i.e. all the things that objective reality proves to be failures.
And before you say, "but I'm not" . . . yes, you are. When it comes to fighting for one or the other, you will choose the wrong one every time if you have no moral code higher than yourself.
