Whatever they dig up, whatever they accuse you of, whatever mud they throw at you, never, NEVER apologize. It's a free country, we are free to say what we want. Being able to clear your internet presence even a little more is a difficult feat, but it is worth nothing if you bow down in the end. Look at the things you've written. Is it worse than murder to say those things? If not, you're already on the moral high ground with regards to the opposition.

And don't forget, its not just the things that are offensive right now, its the things that could be construed as offensive at any point in the future. It is your life, it is what made you into the responsible person you are today, and you should not appease people who would not vote for you anyway.
