I'm actually in favor of quietly hiding statues just now. If I were running a city I would hide all my city's statues. Mob mentality is such that all statues are in danger of getting destroyed. Everyone wants in on the game, no matter who the statue is or what it represents. The only way to keep them safe right now is to hide them. Otherwise the mob will break them to pieces. I hope that they can be restored sometime in the future. But remember, they cannot be restored if they have been destroyed.
