Serious question though. What will you do for work once you leave the city? I'd leave but I'd also be leaving behind the things I went through years of college and working to achieve. My pay would get cut in half easily, my awesome healthcare would go away, my excellent 401k would go away. I'd love to move out to rural Idaho but what is there for a guy like me honestly?
I don't ever see people with Trump hats where I live but I did email my local cops and tell them how much I appreciate them and that I am on their side and no other. If I saw you out and about I probably wouldn't stop and gush but I'd give you a knowing smile and a salute, maybe say, "love the hat".
I was driving around rural New England a couple of autumns ago and there were flags all over the place. So much that I imagined any lefty from my shithole city would be having panic attacks and come home with "PTSD". There are rural areas out here on the west coast too but I've just never seen that many flags. It was great. When we got home, a mid high-rise I can see from my apartment had just installed a flag on their roof while we were gone lol.
I am in a position that I can work remotely, so losing my hard earned college degree isn't a problem. If I were in position such as yours, I would start by choosing where you'd like to move. What you consider city is probably very different than what I would consider city, so there are probably some good options for you to move, and still keep your job, or something similar to it.
Post Falls or Idaho Falls may be good options. I would avoid Boise, it's turning blue fast, and Twin Falls is happily importing Muslims. Pocatello has Idaho State University, and because of that they get many transplants, and the crime associated with it.
I appreciate that you are willing to show your support to people who are outwardly supportive of our president. We need more like you.

If you see American flags flying in a neighbor’s yard, they support Trump. I see no hats, but lots of flags!

Here in Idaho this is mostly true, as well, and we have flags almost everywhere.
We need to do more than fly the flag though.
