They, and I speak not along racial lines here, can "get away" with anything because they don't give a shit about how we punish them. What would this guy get if he's even caught? 4 years of actual served time? They don't care. Their life is shit outside, they get to be cool in prison. Then they get out, commit property crimes and don't get caught, then they decide it's time to deck a great grandma, even those bleeding hearts must say he needs more time so they give him 5 years. Which naturally is the perfect system if you want failure.
