From the Article:

The steroid showed the most benefit in patients who required oxygen, either through ventilation or less-invasive methods, but did not show any benefit for patients who did not require oxygen, Stat News reported.** Among patients who required a ventilator, dexamethasone reduced the death rate by 35%. Among patients who received supplemental oxygen but no ventilation, the drug reduced the death rate by 20%.** These rates were calculated at 28 days after the start of treatment, according to The Associated Press.

Dexamethasone cost about $11-$60 for a full treatment's worth.

Good News is Good News.

Conveniently this comes out the day after the FDA band HCQ.

This honestly makes me wonder how many treatments/cures for conditions like cancer have surfaced over the years, but have been suppressed because they weren’t profitable.

The FDA removed the emergency authorization for use on severe COVID Patients, but HCQ can still be prescribed via a doctor for people to take as a prophylactic; as we are seeing in the NHS is Britain.

This new drug seems to be more effective on severe patients (on a vent).
