Shit is moving at warp speed, folks. China/India have been beefing over a section of land for decades.. India called their buff a week ago, pushed China back, and started building roads/military installations.
This is just posturing, even if a few dozen die in skirmishes. China and India do this every few years.
China and India Militarys are roughly evenly matched. I dont think Chinas economy could sustain a war with India.
It doesnt help that the US looks weak right now. China also wants to regain some of its clout that it lost from the Chinavirus embarrassment.
How does the US look weak?
The uncontrolled rioting gives the appearance of social unrest. Social unrest within a country generally looks weak to those outside of the country.
Pulling an aircraft carrier because healthy young people have a bad cold.
Occupations in our cities and rioters tearing down our statues.
Former generals publicly denouncing the President.
