It will come out that Floyd said, hey man I know chauvin, call him, and officers requested chauvin on scene and chauvin was empathetic towards Floyd saying whats going on man, what are you doing, I still have to take you in, floyd still resisted and start freaking out and chauvin actually let him back out of the car to sit outside to be more comfortable and floyd was still freaking out and chauvin can be heard saying, what are you on man.

Chauvin's car arrived on scene just a couple minutes later. He was already responding before they knew Floyd's identity, and Floyd had already complained of "feeling claustrophobic" and had fallen once before Chauvin arrived. He may have been a dead man walking no matter what the police did.

Chauvin was asked by his partners to let go of Floyd and he refused. So no, it's quite the opposite. Chauvin was not trying to be friendly here.

The knee itself was stated as a dangerous maneuver in the MPD guidelines. There's also no denying that he didn't properly assess the state of the perp while performing the maneuver.

Chauvin was unfriendly. Having your knee on someone after they passed out and refusing to change the position of that someone is not friendly at all.
