There's a big difference between choking someone and having their knee against his neck. Floyd didn't choke to death, and Chauvin wan't "holding" a choke.

Having anything against someone's neck is what we refer to as a choke hold, even if you don't apply enough pressure or don't apply pressure to the proper part of the neck to choke someone out.

That's why the holds are dangerous. That's why Trump has now banned them nationwide.

Why do you go against Trump this much on his biggest fan site ? That's my question.

Trumps doing the right thing politically, where fee-fees and misinterpretations matter. Doesn't matter here. Just like Wuhan Flu the choke holds are not as dangerous as we're led to believe. That's why they've put up a fight so long keeping politically incorrect chokeholds around. They say seeing statues is dangerous too. The fact of the situation is that Chauvin didn't contribute to Floyd's death other than Floyd perhaps overexerting himself into a heart attack resisting four cops?

So what if he didn't jump back 6 feet to display his knee was no longer "choking" Floyd (which it basically never was in this case, because Chauvin was careful). His failure to telegraph the effective end of the "choke hold" to the public like a mime doesn't alter the reality that his knee didn't contribute to Floyds death. We don't have to wring hands over unpopular facts here. And winge that Chauvin didn't give an obvious appearance that he was obeying regulations.

Trump's doing the right thing period. If you don't agree, you don't belong on this site.
