I don't think either examiner said they found any medical evidence that the knee contributed to the death, they basically said they assumed that possibility from the video alone. And if they probably weren't afraid of being attacked by rioters or fired or something they might be more critical of that idea. I think it's stupid to assume Chauvin had malice or incompetence enough to manage to choke Floyd just enough to kill him before the heart attack or OD got him, but also not look to me like he was even pressing or leave a bruise while staring into a camera.
I have only seen it piecemeal I haven't seen anything regarding the knee other than their opinion as to whether it could be blamed for Floyd's cause of death "asphyxia". Asphyxia being the mechanism of death caused by OD on Fentanyl, or a heart attack, or an outrageous choke hold. And as I've said while the video gives the impression, much due to the over-reacting spectators, that Floyd was being choked, we know he had a bad heart, a potentially lethal dose of drugs, and was having severe symptoms attributable to those conditions before Chauvin even arrived on the scene. And while Chauvin was carefully not choking him to death a confused Floyd rattles off a list of complaints stereotypical of someone having a cardiac event more than someone having their neck or throat compressed.

Then you didn't read the actual examiner's report. The 2nd autopsy was a paid psyops.
