Just yesterday I purchased a good pistol with a brace, and I can throw a 50 round drum on it.

Starting to do physical training now, thinking about what kind of environment our fights may happen in. Gym? No thanks. I'll jog outside on a hard trail, and stop to do push-ups every so often.

Wife has started purchasing long term foodstuffs and storage.

If anyone has any pointers to help the new preppers out, I would be all ears.

Get good boots. I mean good ones. Never cheap out on anything that separates you from the elements. I'd say to go for Salomon boots or if you want something more "tactical", invest in Garmont T8. The Garmonts are as light as running shoes but can take a beating (even more so if you don't get the NFS and instead get the heavier ones).

Also, those drums are mostly for dicking around on the range. I'd NEVER trust one in a combat scenario. USGI (with enhanced followers - I get mine from Bravo Company with the enhanced Magpul followers), Magpul PMAGS or those Lancer magazines are the way to go. I prefer USGI mags myself but I have all different types of fun goodies. Remember, all of your mags should be loaded. If they aren't - you need more ammo. If you have too much ammo, you need more magazines... and ammo...

Don't be a gear queer - I'm not sure about your level of proficiency when it comes to using said gear, veteran status, etc but remember, your gear is only good if you know how to use it. I can get the nicest set of golf clubs, but I fucking suck outside of the driving range. If you don't have one already, invest in an IFAK. Also, learn how to use it. Buy a ton of tourniquets (make sure if you go for the tried and tested CAT TQ, you get the one without the cheap plastic bar). Get really good at putting them on. I see a ton of guys who buy these fancy plate carriers, level IV plates, all that fun stuff, but have zero life-saving skills. In a SHTF scenario, you can have a full on set of MJOLNIR armor from Halo, but that's not going to be of any use if you can't patch up a wound. Also, remember that in a true SHTF scenario, you won't have access to hospitals and supplies more than likely. Even though our medics went through SOCM, we also had access to legit medical facilities with amazing surgeons if shit went south. That won't be afforded to you when things get bad.

Not sure of your level of expertise with firearms, but order a few packs of dummy rounds and throw them into your mags for the range randomly. It'll help get you comfortable dealing with malfunctions. My wife used to hate it when I threw dummies in her magazines initially, but it helps her learn how to keep a cool head and become robotic about it for when it actually counts. If you have property, practice stress shooting. It's easy to hit a target, but when you have the adrenaline pumping through you, you're stressed, the hypoxia is setting in - you want to still be combat effective.

Don't avoid the gym. If you really don't want to get in there, buy a duffel bag, load it up with sand and do hill runs with it. If you want some good workout ideas, check out Pat McNamara's instagram or youtube videos. He is a legit dude, former CAG, and all around badass (he's also the real deal, not some fake, I know guys who served with him).

I mean I can go on and on, what stuff are you curious about?

SwanS0ng 6 points ago +6 / -0

Switched from Merrell to Salomon a few deployments ago and never looked back.

Can't echo the comments about being a gear queer enough. Buddy of mine (despite my protesting) just panic purchased one of those AR500 sets of steel body armor you see advertised everywhere. I bet he puts it on once and realizes how heavy, cumbersome, and shitty it is and never wears it again. For those out there who are looking to gear up, I highly recommend trying stuff out before you commit to purchasing. The reason there's a thousand different plate carriers and accessories out there is because everybody likes things set up a little differently. Find what works best for YOU and train with it. The Fieldcraft Survival podcast (hosted by former Green Beret Mike Glover) did a couple episodes recently - number 167 and 168 - regarding bug out kits, but have a good overview of gear in general.

My SO also hates the dummy round swap, but it's worth the look on her face when she realizes it was me and not her :)

This is like Manna from Heaven. I gift from our warriors to us.

The IFAK and tourniquets advice is not often heeded. It should be.

Throwing dead rounds into a mag is so, so important.

"OK, sh!t happened. Now what you gonna do?"

Thank you.

Comms. Tactics.

How do you manage tactics and use comms to enable tactics. How do you pre-plan the Plan Bs and engage them when Plan A takes a punch to the face.

On Satuday I hiked seven miles without stopping, save for a three minute break, at a nature park with lots of rough terrain....and my feet weren't sore to my pleasant surprise.

My city just tightened its lockdown because we've had a spike in cases (a special thanks to downtown protestors for their stupid contribution!), but I plan on finding another place to walk this coming weekend.

Also nobody wore masks on the trails which is just common sense...but some people who live closer to the city would rather we all hyperventilate in the hot sun.

Try to run anywhere between 25 to 35 miles a week. Do push-ups, hand release pushups and squats. Do farmers carries with as much weight as you can. Get a backpack with weight exceeding 60 pounds and go on lengthy hike runs. Make sure you wear proper socks and take care of your feet. This should help anyone be more physically prepared.

Arm, train, vote and

SPREAD REDPILLS.

This will have a multiplier effect where you can get far more people than yourself to also arm, train and vote, and spread even more redpills.

One very effective way to spread redpills is to participate in the It's Okay To Be White poster campaign which happens every year on Halloween. You can put up the posters on any day of the year, but there's always a huge surge on Halloween because you can wear masks and costumes for anonymity without raising suspicion (to protect yourself from MSM smears).

The mistake the guy in NM did that's in the news right now is not having any game plan. People going into these situations expecting confrontation, should think about some of the tactics Antifa has been using. They're anonymous and they blend in. This is some 4th generation warfare.

If you have to use force against these people, have some numbers with you, and an escape plan to move out of the area fast. The police ARE your biggest enemy. The protesters will scatter and screech. The cops will look for you relentlessly and won't hesitate to use deadly force. Then if caught, the leftists will come after you including D politicians, media and corrupt liberal prosecutors. They're already demonizing this guy and now they're already looking at going after the militia guys who were protecting the statues. They claim no affiliation with the guy who shot the Antifa thug but they're now the focus of what happened.

"I know the American People are much attached to their Government; I know they would suffer much for its sake; I know they would endure evils long and patiently before they would ever think of exchanging it for another. Yet, notwithstanding all this, if the laws be continually despised and disregarded, if their rights to be secure in their persons and property are held by no better tenure than the caprice of a mob, the alienation of their affections from the Government is the natural consequence; and to that, sooner or later, it must come." - Abraham Lincoln, 27 January 1838

6
Fairshakeplz 6 points ago +6 / -0

7
TheOutlawPepeWales 7 points ago +7 / -0

Sauce. It's a great speech on the subject of perpetuating our political institutions. :)

"The question recurs, "how shall we fortify against it?" The answer is simple. Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others. As the patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor; let every man remember that to violate the law is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear the character of his own, and his children's liberty. Let reverence for the laws be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe that prattles on her lap; let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges; let it be written in Primers, spelling books, and in Almanacs; let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become the political religion of the nation; and let the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the grave and the gay, of all sexes and tongues, and colors and conditions, sacrifice unceasingly upon its altars. While ever a state of feeling, such as this, shall universally, or even, very generally prevail throughout the nation, vain will be every effort, and fruitless every attempt, to subvert our national freedom."

6
gabwinone 6 points ago +6 / -0

Got to admit, I'm not very attached to my government. They've proven themselves corrupt, greedy, power-mad, and essentially anti-American. I AM, however very attached to my Constitution.

3
TheOutlawPepeWales 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sounds like you're supporting his hypothesis. Whether it's a beat cop or some glowfag on the 7th floor, we have to be able to trust that our government will faithfully execute the law. When that trust is broken, everything falls apart. Unfortunately, the government seems to be plagued by the same flaw as the Church - they hide the rotten apples to protect the image of the institution, but when the truth finally comes out, as it always does, that policy proves to do more harm than good. We need honesty and transparency when someone goes rogue, and we need to hold them accountable to the highest standards. Since the very survival of our nation depends on this, they should be subject to the same penalties as those who commit treason. Stop mollycoddling the bad guys and drain the swamp!

4
americathegr888 4 points ago +6 / -2

And yet Lincoln hated the Constitution, wrote a huge rant against it, and did more to fuck this country up and create the bureaucratic deep state we're all being subject to now than perhaps any other person in history.

4
gabwinone 4 points ago +4 / -0

I still can't forgive Lincoln for causing the Civil War.

The Southern States had a right to secede.

Yeah, given the state of federal overreach it seems like they had a point. States should have remained sovereign, I'm not going to celebrate that freedom lost.

Shhh... we're not allowed to talk about the very fine people who tried to reign in the abuses of the general welfare and commerce clauses. Lincoln was concerned about preserving the Union, and it was a bloody miracle he accomplished that much, but even though that compact is essential to our longevity (balkanization will surely result in our complete annihilation) it doesn't mean there aren't still serious problems we need to address.

2
KekistanPM 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'd love to watch a re-enactment of that speech...of course HBO would take it down, and then later put it back up bookended by lectures on why big government is good for us.

Does anyone know a place where liberty-loving individuals can find like minded patriots in their area? I want to get involved in my community in real life but am looking to avoid cucks, shills, commies, and/or fags.

Would tdwin be supportive of localized pages along the lines of subreddits? I think going into the election it could be extremely helpful not just on the national level but for down-ballot candidates as well.

I'm Christian and I don't believe that.

Pray to Jesus.

There's nowhere in the Bible that says Mary was immaculately conceived or that she ascended into heaven. She was just as mortal and human as the rest of us.

I was raised Catholic and have a Catholic Catechism on my bookshelf. The website doesn't tell me anything I haven't already been exposed to.

Jesus honored his mother, and he also spoke against venerating her like a goddess-

Luke 11:27-28

27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

As far as the Immaculate Conception and Assumption concepts, they're not in the Bible and I'll leave this here-

Revelation 22:18-19

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Jesus did not leave us a Bible he left us a Church which created the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Those scriptures Jesus was referring to was the Tanakh and you claim He didn't leave them for us?

And Protestants removed several books from that Bible using the Old Testament version the Jews created after Christ.

The Jews didn't remove a thing. The Tanakh was written in Hebrew.

The several books you've mentioned are actually 7 books and are referred to as the deuterocanonical books. They were originally written in Greek, and contain provable errors. As an example, Nebuchadnezzar was the King of Babylon, not Assyria. These books were never part of the Tanakh.

And Catholics venerate Mary and the other Saint we don’t worship them or see them as gods. You should know better than that.

When Catholics sing to a statue of Mary and put a crown of roses on her head, it goes against everything the Bible says about idolatry.

I know the Roman Catholic Church explains away blatant idolatry by calling it veneration. And let's not even get into Sedlec Ossuary, just one of many Roman Catholic Churches constructed from bones.

I choose to stick to what the Word of God has to say about the subject.

Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord: that is my name: And my glory will I not give to another, Neither my praise to graven images.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Investigate the difference between the word Bible and Scripture. The Jews never had including today agreed on what is “official” scripture. The Sadducees only beloved in the Law. Modern Ethiopian Jews have the Deuterocanonical books in them.

Yes, they did agree on what was official scripture. What Christians refer to as the Old Testament was finalized over 400 years before the birth of Christ.

I hope you never ask anyone to pray for you because that would be idolization according to your definitions. Catholics believe the Saints are alive in heaven and when we pray to them we are just asking them to pray for us. It’s right there in the Hail Mary “pray for us sinners”.

Asking somebody living to pray for you is not idolatry. The dead can't hear you, though, so asking them to pray for you does nothing.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:12-14 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Personally, I choose to take Jesus on His Word and pray to him directly. There are promises attached to that.

Catholics believe the Saints are alive in heaven and when we pray to them we are just asking them to pray for us. It’s right there in the Hail Mary “pray for us sinners”.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

You can pray to them but they won't hear you.

There's a reason the Roman Catholic Church banned the deplorables from reading the Bible and forbade its translation into native tongues. They knew their system of feudalism and divine right of kings would come to a crashing halt if people knew the truth. History refers to that as the Protestant Reformation.

we will never be allowed to use them

Of course they're not going to "allow" you to fight back in any way. You just have to decide WHEN and WHERE it's time to put up a fight. That's the biggest dilemma we face and I don't know what it will take for people to say "enough!" I hope it will be at the voting booth and we just gut the D party to the point that they will lose all of their power across the country. Rioting and unrest however, will still continue and that's something we have to be prepared for.

I think the training is a part a lot of us fall short on. I’m so grateful for my brother, a 2nd LT in the Marines, who’s been helping me underrated the need for general physical readiness.

Remember: we are ALL soft—products of living in easy times. We need to do our best to prepare for situations worse than we’ve imagined, predicted, or planned for. If things collapse, it’ll get VERY bad VERY quickly.

Physical training to unlock your strength potential, build discipline, and to be able to protect yourself/loved ones against violence.

Mental training to build resistance to the temptation to just go along with whatever happens because it's more comfortable.

Intellectual training to be able to articulate your arguments well, be able to persuade others, and maintain rationality even when appealing to overly emotional people.

And spiritual training by practicing your religion if you have one.
