Prayers needed, MAGA fam. I just learned that mandatory Covid testing will be required to return to work, and am about to tend my resignation. I’m heartbroken. I love my job, and will miss my students terribly. I don’t even get to say goodbye. I believe that mandatory testing is an infringement on my rights and will lead to a mandatory vaccine that I truly believe is sinister. I pray that God will grant me strength and wisdom. My husband still has his job, and I believe that this will ultimately be a blessing and allow me to focus on becoming a mother. I’ve always dreamed of being a homeschooling old-fashioned homemaker. I just can’t submit to something that I believe will lead me and my country on a dangerous path.

I’m not the biggest fan of marriage for most people. As a matter of fact I would say most people probably shouldn’t get married or have kids.

But getting married and having kids was the best thing I’ve ever done for my life.

13
Kephri 13 points ago +15 / -2

Why most people? I think that white Christians need to have more kids to keep Muslims/communists from being able to round us up and kill us.

4
righttowolfarms 4 points ago +7 / -3

I agree with you.

But look at the statistics. Half of marriages in this country dissolve. Those are not great odds. There is no incentive to get married in this country besides having kids, and that’s not even guaranteed with divorce laws and family courts the way they are now. A man has at least a 50% chance of losing his whole life, job, family, to divorce. That is why most men don’t even get married anymore. The State institution of marriage in this country is horribly corrupt.

Look at how populations around the world are growing. The two most populous countries aren’t even majority Christian. Let’s say Christians in this country immediately start having double the kids they are having now: they’ll still be overrun.

I think the best way is to keep preaching the Good Word and help integrate other minorities into loving the Constitution and this Country.

Half of marriages is a flawed statistic. Marriages that haven't yet ended in death don't count. Some people have five marriages, really skews the numbers.

Books, and trips. Learn to.expand your mind and stop being a consumerist cuck. Working on 300 books, hiked the AT the PCT and half the CDT. Been to almost every national park, I ended a 12 year relationship in 2015 and never looked back. Life is amazing when you open your brain and learn. If you have no shop or smithing skills, start there.

All great men of the revolutionary timeframe, across the globe. America, France, Russia all measures charter in their libraries. Do something, learn skills. A lot of great men in history were single, alone and learned. it's not for everyone to have kids and all that shit. sometimes there is more important work to be done.

Literally George Washington to start you historically illiterate fuck. Dozens of great men afterward, men who built the history you're too stupid to know.

2
Vino 2 points ago +2 / -0

You seem happy! I was more referring to your around the world comment. As for GW, he raised Martha's 2 children from a previous marriage, and wanted children, but she was not capable. Something tells me that girl you're not looking back on did herself a favor.

Why would you resign instead of forcing them to fire you? If they fired you, you (probably) would have had cause to sue because, as you said, it's an infringement.

Not being a dick, genuinely asking if there was a reason.

83
Raindrops1984 [S] 83 points ago +83 / -0

I honestly didn’t even realize that. I finished typing up my resignation letter and spoke to my supervisor, but maybe it’s not too late to make them fire me. Thanks, pede!

52
Watch_TheKarma_Burn 52 points ago +52 / -0

Yes you should. If you resign that makes it your choice and you will not be able to seek recourse.

47
V_exodus 47 points ago +47 / -0

That, plus no unemployment pymts unless you are fired, isn't that correct?

24
PepesCovfefe 24 points ago +24 / -0

That’s correct. Her resignation is exactly what they want.

Generally it's not a good idea to quit for any reason unless you're either retiring, or have secured another job. You lose out on a lot of benefits that your tax money paid for, if you do.

Forcing your employer to fire you without cause isn't difficult, probably easier than it's ever been. Just tell them you need to take some time off work to go campaign against BLM.

29
cuckslasher 29 points ago +29 / -0

this man gets fired

29
DestroyerofCobwebs 29 points ago +29 / -0

I've had my moments. In the case of the OP, I would just tell them I refuse the test. Easy. Unless you signed paperwork giving them permission to perform medical tests on you as a condition of your employment (WTF would you do that), they can't claim cause if they fire you for that reason.

It's all a game, most employees just don't know the rules.

I work in an at-will-state as a manager and can tell you firing someone isn't nearly as easy as you think.

3
ThePowerOfPrayer 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're exactly right. You need to have a consistent policy towards all employees and every disciplinary action needs to be documented and in their personnel file or HR will not approve it at many companies.

In my 20s, I was a restaurant manager. I remember firing an employee for insubordination (refusing to perform tasks I assigned to her). She was a thieving meth head I inherited from the previous manager, and I didn't waste time getting rid of her at the first opportunity.

She reported me to HR for wrongful termination. We had to get on a conference call with an HR rep and my area manager the next day. In the course of the discussion, she revealed she refused to sweep the floor. HR terminated her on the spot and apparently her answers to those questions meant we were off the hook for long term unemployment costs as well.

No, you did it the right way.. A clean fast break lets you move on quiker. Even if you could gain somthing by going the other way it's unlikly to make up for the hostile entanglements and the spirituel aspect of that kind of fight. You have something better to move on to do not look back..

Know a lady starting a job teaching homeschool support classes. Basically homeschoolers sign up for subjects that their parents don't have the experience to teach. You will be surprised how much stuff like that is out there

12
V_exodus 12 points ago +12 / -0

You don’t have to be good at the subjects. You just get a good curriculum. It’s a myth that the teacher has to be an expert in all the subjects. Aces Paces is a great curriculum that explains the subjects well and is used by many private schools. But there are dozens more that are just as good. Also there are a lot more “One day homeschool” academies out there now. The students go one day a week to get their assignments and discuss the work, then they work from home the rest of the days. I homeschooled my kids from kindergarten to graduation and both got into colleges they wanted. I’m here if anyone needs guidance.

4
Erikabodereka 4 points ago +4 / -0

Life presents a safety net when we jump. I was the breadwinner by a large margin, but quit my job after having my first to live on my husband’s police officer salary. We were both under 30. He was shot at one night. Not hit, but had the hell scared out of him and decided to quit. It was stressful, but he got another job. We worked it out, had another baby and I couldn’t be more proud of our family and the life we’ve created. You will be ok and I’ll send a prayer up to double stamp it.

4
AngelMark 4 points ago +4 / -0

You shouldn't quit but instead just refuse and have them fire you as a result. If you get fired A) you get unemployment and B) you can probably sue them for wrongful termination.

It's scary now, but saving the country begins at home. All of your instincts are dead on, and any husband would be glad to have a wife like you who is probably already a fantastic educator, and will continue to be that for your children. Stay strong, and be that Mom/Wife you dream of being. Know that me and so many like me are offering daily prayers for you. God bless!

4
TEXinLA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sorry, Fren...

Good teachers are born. Not made.

And have you thought about doing tutoring? Either online or in person (if you are not in lockdown).

You might end up better off doing that than being in the classroom each day.

Good math tutors can make $50+ per hour; this from a friend of my parents' in the DFW area ten years ago. She and another ex teacher tutored jr high and high school Math at $70 per hour. And they were good and had waiting lists.

My Mother is a retired pre-k/kindergarden teacher.

Thinking of you and yours....

My prayers go out to you. We need more patriots like you willing to stand up for their principles. Not just in regard to life-changing decisions like this, but even small things like stopping Netflix or Hulu subscriptions. I know there are a lot of Conservatives who refuse to do easy things like that and I don't understand why not.

But quitting your job...THAT'S standing up for your principles. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do moving forward.

I've been telling the truth at my job for over a decade. They've tried to fire me about once per year, but, since I'm right, it's hard for them to do so. I haven't been promoted, but hey, the job satisfaction is pretty high. :) Make them fire you. Oh, and I'm not wearing a mask to work. Yay.

4
AngelMark 4 points ago +4 / -0

I told an employer in 2010 that I would be looking for another job due to my doc recommending I find a less stressful job.( A year prior i was rushed to hospital from work thinking i was having a heart attack.) I had no intention of looking for another job because I knew the dick I worked for would eventually fire me because he was mad I said I needed to leave. I even offered to train a replacement. 6 weeks after I told him I would be looking for another job he let me go. He tried to deny my unemployment but I had a year's worth of doc appts to show my heart issues were stress related due to the job! I sent unemployment a 9 page letter w 39 exhibits! I won! I got unemployment for 2 years (due to 2008 housing crisis)😆 ( I was a private investigator, paralegal, legal secretary, receptionist for 4 lawyers w just 1 other employee!)

I did consult with my husband. That was the first thing I did before I ever spoke about it or took any action. Naturally. Together, we agreed this was a moral stand we felt compelled to take.
