Just remember Kaine is 1 of 100 Americans who dictate our destiny in the Senate. Lindsey Graham, Kamala Harris, Mazie Hirono, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Mitt Romney are just a few of the other 100. We have maybe 2-5 Senators looking to serve this country. When you look at how much power the US Senate has, even over the Executive Branch, you will see how most of the corruption and other fuckery we see in America today can be attributed to the closed-door actions/inactions of the Chinless Turtle and 8-10 never-Trump senate repug cunts.
Not disagreeing with you, but there are actually zero senators doing what they are supposed to be doing.
Senators are supposed to be the federal advocates of the state governments, there to make sure that the house of representatives doesn't try to take power that is reserved for the states.
The 17th amendment changed all that. Frankly, this entire American Experiment died with its passage and we are simply riding out the death throes.
