I've consulted at a hospital before and it was essentially the same work environment my ironworker friends live in.

There is skill and there is craft.

There is also heavy bullying, substance abuse, occasional assaults, harassment, stalking, fuckin EVERYTHING. I couldn't believe what a shitshow I was in after the first few months. They're adults still living in high school.

So the next time you see health workers giving their opinions, ask yourself; "Would I listen to this bullshit from an ironworker? How about a brick layer?"

Wearing scrubs doesn't give a moral authority. They behave the same as all other forms of manual labor. They aren't better than anyone.
