Because of this, their primary goal in life is to "fix" whatever exists whether or not it is actually broken or even objectively beneficially.
Here's an example. I have a friend who loves Amazon because, as she says, it makes her life easier. But at the same, she says that Amazon is an evil monopoly and she wants it to die. However, if Amazon did die, I'm sure she would then complain that local shopping was expensive and inconvenient and seek some way to "improve" the process.
What the Dems offer liberals is a world of never ending problems and unlimited calls to change (that never actually do anything). Libs love this because the external world then resembles their internal assumptions, thus proving that they are truly intelligent and worthy and that their daddy loves them.
There's a social and class element. If many of these people, especially the ones in urban areas, became Trump supporters they would likely lose all of their friends and maybe even business connections. They also don't want to be associated with Bad Whites (people like us) because the left wing coalition is now minorities and affluent white liberals. They don't want to be grouped in with lower middle class and working class people.

My wife just claims that she doesn't care. She has it in her head the she makes her own rules. (some of this mentality is good, some is not) She's usually not passive about things, but with all of this upheaval she has chosen to just ignore it. It's a more peacful existence for her. She's not out there demonstrating or anything.
