I never had one ounce of respect for Ayn Rand. I think her philosophy is shallow and one dimensional, but that's a discussion for another day. My concern now is I can literally see that shit coming true before my very eyes. The world is becoming exactly as shallow and one dimensional as an Ayn Rand novel. The world is being divided into makers and takers.

The takers are coming, as we speak to destroy the makers. All of our institutions are corrupt. They are all in on it, the police, the politicians, the biggest businesses we've ever seen, the people in charge of the dissemination of virtually all information, and as we'll soon see, those who grant access to modern society, like banks, credit card companies, and internet service providers. They'll come for us in the near future. We have to hide our books and our art to protect them from destruction by a mob of outraged social leeches who only know how to consume and destroy, and everyone with any kind of power is helping them.

The people who want to build society, and contribute to it, are just dropping out. They have no power, and they know the mob is at the gates, so they're just leaving. So, where are we all meeting?

It was always real. The world has always been divided between the productive and the parasites. She had more insight than people give her credit for.

I'll admit her world view IS one-dimensional, there are plenty of smart, inventive people who don't WANT to be takers, it's not all black and white. But I can respect her intellect.

Well her foresight is certainly impressive.

She makes a black and white world in her books. Right down to the physical appearance of the characters. The good guys are beautiful and the bad guys are ugly.

She did get some very important things right though.

Good point. Her philosophy is as much a product of soviet social engineering as the current mob. But a certain geographical-ideological unity may become necessary in the near future as lives are threatened by the decay of modern society. So like, Montana, the Dakota's, idaho and Alberta? Seems like enough land for a fresh start.

Yeah those are interesting, but they ultimately fail because some structure is necessary, and it's generally better that everyone has a stake in society rather than on a simple ownership or shareholder basis.
