Actually, they agreed to delete their comments section. So now you can’t comment on their articles. This is what google wanted, no discourse or opinion sharing, no energetic discussion. Google was complaining about the “bad content” not moderated in the comments section of the Federalist website. So the Federalist gave in and erased them.

119
nachosamplerREBORN [S] 119 points ago +121 / -2

But people can still comment on youtube and other google platforms....

140
MusicToMyEars 140 points ago +140 / -0

Right. It’s a double standard. Google can demonetize you and holds the key to your ad flow. So you have to do what they say.

ZeroHedge refused to moderate or erase their comments section (on their website) and thus was demonetized.

Google controls 70% of all ad flow on the Internet.

Google needs to be broken up, have their stock frozen from any sales for 2 years and fully investigated for election interference.

Need a lot more judge seats flipped then. Trump has done a spectacular job so far getting over 200 conservative judges installed but that is still only a fraction of the overall needed. Maybe by the end of Trumps second term he will be in a position to fully take out the tech cartels.

Well killing people and assassinating is simply not where any of us want to be and we have a lot of ways to just walk the hell away that are a lot more effective. I mean I don't get it why kill people when you can just ignore them?

What if we just ignored the left? Ignored their laws, ignored their demands. Gave them nothing, did no business with them. They'd wilt in a month. Just have to sidestep all that anger sometimes.

We collectively need to just resign ourselves to ignoring them. If they come with guns...ok then...that is different.

I used to agree with sentiment, but no. Splitting the country in two is not possible, we aren't separated by geography, but ideology. We can defeat their ideology. We can win, we just have to fight back. They are weak.

justforthissubred 11 points ago +11 / -0

Barr will get right on that. After his next sandwich.

8
Necrovoter 8 points ago +8 / -0

The continental plates are moving 'faster' than Barr, or anyone else that we can see in public. Maybe POTUS has something else going behind the scenes - I hope so.
At this point, I feel like we need to put Alex Jones in charge and pay him a bonus for how quickly he gets these crooks to the grand jury for charges.

Removing their "platform" protection is what is required. That would require them to be a true platform and not a publisher, which they most obviously are.

Troubling thing is China has shit ton of money in them and the money google makes has tendrils that reach pretty damn far.

7
Necrovoter 7 points ago +7 / -0

I have zero problems with America cutting all ties to communist China - trade, education, science, diplomatic etc. It should be illegal to deal with them in any fashion. We should recognize Taiwan as a legitimate nation.

Don't use Google. see previous comments.

9
SquiggyMcPepe 9 points ago +9 / -0

Everything uses google at some level. Even duckduckgo is just a filter for google searches. It really is a monopoly but we don't have enough judges installed yet to take them to court. They would just shop around for a friendly judge and drag any attempt at using rico on them out for years or even decades.

1
Grief 1 point ago +1 / -0

We don't have the balls to even go after them is the problem. Just another case of DC doing nothing to correct the direction of the country. It is obvious Google has too much power, problem is no one cares.

1
SquiggyMcPepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Plenty of people have the balls to go after them. Money on the other hand not so much. This is a company that can toss hundreds of millions at teams of lawyers and not so much as blink. Unless you know the judge is going to be solid then you won't be pulling the trigger or it will be a gigantic waste of time and money for nothing and can ruin certain future cases due to the double jeopardy rule. Google and the rest will get theirs but not this year.

TheContrarian2 14 points ago +14 / -0

That's fucking laughable. Google indexes 4chan's POL group and there is some racist stuff in there (some good stuff to). Anyway, try it. Go to 4chan/pol and look at the top post, cut and paste some text into Google. it's indexed within minutes.

What a load of shit.

It sucks that we are dependent, or feel that we're dependent on them. "Do no evil" my ass.

5
pmyourcovfefes 5 points ago +5 / -0

I only lurked on 4chan but I have to admit the police scanner bingo game was awesome. Haven’t been there in years but it made me laugh.

3

It's not like it was. Many government actors and shills involved now. At least on POL. I don't go elsewhere because it's to weird for me.

2
justforthissubred 2 points ago +2 / -0

We aren't dependent. It's just so user friendly and convenient people all use it. To do away with them, we need to come up with something more convenient and user friendly. Or honest.

So after getting called out that they put an ad ban on a PLATFORM vs. a PUBLISHER...they changed their tune...I wonder why?

49
saveMySpeech 49 points ago +51 / -2

They didn't. They only reversed the decision on The Federalist after the Federalist caved in and deleted their comment section. This is NOT a win. This is an even bigger loss because it shows conservatives are willing to bend over and get fucked in the ass.

2
Grief 2 points ago +2 / -0

Did The Federalist sue them? It's 100% not legal.

8
Art-Vandelay41 8 points ago +8 / -0

I’m not versed in the law on this, but they already acted as a publisher. Does that set the precedent that they are liable as a publisher?

42
DefaultFreedom 42 points ago +42 / -0

How much longer do we got here on this forum? I swear, the goal is to just silence all dissent. I saw we were dealing with Cloudfare again.

I want to add that I am grateful to the creators of this site. True heroes in my book and I am not ungrateful, just disappointed with the "open web".

23
AllAmericanAdonis 23 points ago +23 / -0

CloudFlare could do a man in the middle attack on this sites username and password traffic since they hold the private keys to our SSL traffic. I don't trust them one bit.

4
faucipolice 4 points ago +4 / -0

Using Cloudflare is a MITM, they literally hold your DNS records, they could change the host the traffic is even going to and completely censor whatever they want.

If they engage in censorship of content or modify it they would literally throw the premise of their platform out the window.

28
The_Left_The 28 points ago +29 / -1

The left is going full court press here; they don't even care to hide it any more.

They--and therefore their China paymasters--are obviously desperate.

We need to fight back against them, but most of all, don't get discouraged. The Battle of the Bulge started with a massed offensive but fell apart when they ran out of steam.

7
KeyboardWarrior 7 points ago +7 / -0

I keep seeing parallels between ww2 and now. How is it that the U.S Army overcame all odds and beat the NAZI's ? Our Sherman tanks we no match for their panzers. They had a much more advanced army. They had advanced aircraft and advanced science. We Had Jesus. Still do. I think that's the Difference and the unifying them.

5
PITPatriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

We also out-produced the shit out of them.

2
Libertysheimdall1 2 points ago +2 / -0

The United States had more than 3 times the GDP of Germany (even throwing it the possessions it seized) and the Germans were fighting a USSR with roughly equal GDP, twice the population, and essentially unlimited territory to wear down the war machine.

The war looked like it was "against" all odds because the Germans had spent a lot of money building an army in the 1930s. But the reality was what Churchill saw, who said the moment he heard the USA had entered the war: "Hitler's fate was sealed. Mussolini's fate was sealed. As for Japanese, they would be ground to powder. All that remained was the proper application of overwhelming force."

Sorry but all overwhelming force of big tech lies on the other side. The two are not comparable.

1
KeyboardWarrior 1 point ago +1 / -0

Shit. Very true

2
Chick-fill-eh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lol. Superior, but complicated tanks that were impossible to maintain in the field, vs easy to produce, and more importantly, incredibly reliable tanks that were easy to fix.

Engineering for reliability built on the world's largest manufacturing engine won the war.

It was exactly the same in the pacific - we out manufactured Japan.

4
I_Am_My_Own_God 4 points ago +4 / -0

These people are the same people who throughout history have been tyrants and authoritarians. They've just learned that they can no longer gain their power via government so they are using others means to enforce their tyranny on society through social media, media, and academia as they are not subject to the same restrictions placed on them by our founding fathers.

It is time to start placing the same restrictions we do on our government on these institutions of social power. They are being used to control the masses and destroy the liberties that have not only made this country great but subsequently improved lives of billions around the world. It's time we start treating these people as they have proven themselves to be.....Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis

1
The_Left_The 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep, and we can't depend on them to do it themselves.

It's our turn for a long march through the institutions.

2

Not conservatives, just weak people.

Conservatives are known to conserve which means to safe guard and preserve. You have to be tough, and not a weakling to be one. Those that say they are, but are different in actions are merely ones that pretend to be one.

3
Grief 3 points ago +3 / -0

Totally agree. All these people bending the knee, whether it's about racism or even standing up to big tech, are complete losers. They don't even have the balls to stand up for themselves when they're getting bullied around. Weak indeed. The Federalist should have immediately sued and taken it to court. They would of had to rule fast because they were shutting off their income and precedent would be set. Now they basically told Google its okay to do what they did.

Ask questions? RACIST, you hate black people white man.

It's all being used to shift energy from getting a scumbag like Stupid Joe elected. Can't have people looking too close there, so fire up the BLM and get some political riots going, attack the enemy using BLM.
