It looks like a knife in that frame (in the above screenshot), but looks like that might have just been glasses in another frame. Both hands are closed, as if he's holding two objects.
Honestly does it matter. If it looks like a knife to us.

Here you can see the broken glasses and some other small object on the ground, which might be part of the glasses frame.
