First, there's no doubt that there is MORE testing. People who have to be tested in order to go back to work, people who have to be tested in order to have medical procedures done, etc.
The tests could be faulty - there are rumors that the new tests have a higher positive rate.
Or, the tests are actually more accurate and thus are catching more asymptomatic cases.
But either way, it's good, because you say, the mortality rate goes down with every new test of someone who is either asymptomatic or recovers with no problem.
However, that's not how it's being SPUN. It's being SPUN as disaster and the reason why states can continue to refuse to open up, schools staying closed, etc.

I dont think this sub understands the existential threat we are truly under. The polls aren't fake, they have never been fake. The media sometimes will extrapolate wrong conclusions from the polls, or underestimate one sides chances, but the data is the data. And before people say "derrrr but they oversample democrats" - yes, this happens in a lot of polls, and you counteract that by weighting the results, which literally every poll does. it's basic math.
