Yup, anytime you are being arrested or charges for a crime / self defense / etc, NEVER say shit until you have spoken to lawyer. Tell that to your wife/husband as well b.c when officers ask you questions and you refuse they will try with your kids, spouse etc. Make sure every1 is on the same page in the regard.
