A friend teaches "culinary arts" in a high school tech center in a midwest city. (Imagine teaching "knife skills" to inner city kids!)

Anyhow, she tested real maple syrup on them and they hated it. My first and only thought was "HFCS."

That HFCS stuff is why I despise the phrase "sugary soft drinks." Ain't nothing "sugar" about soft drinks. I can remember when ALL soft drinks had sugar and wonder a lot of problems can be traced to the change.
