Who will stop them? Barr certainly has zero interest in standing up to them.

Barr is "them".

It seems like literally everyone except Trump is "them." An outsider without absolute power evidently can't get very far

This is both bug and feature.

Feature because it keeps fucks like Obama or Bill Clinton from having absolute Maduro/Hussein/Hitler/Stalin/etc-levels of power.

Bug because it is impossible to get rid of once it becomes sufficiently self-aware and decides to do its own thing, SJW-style.

Only a long, slow, widespread, and painful ripping-out and replacing will remove the Deep State. Fortunately, GEOTUS has begun working on that, at least with the courts.

COVID seems to be a perfect opportunity to DISBAND DC, no?

  • I say distribute the agencies across the country.
  • I say that House and Senate members be required to spend 90% of their year in their district.
  • I say that we leverage our newfound ability to have a good-enough meetings and that'll have to do. AND, all the meetings with lobbyists are recorded and available for public viewing.

Just some ideas. Unlike any would ever see the light of day...and that's exactly the problem.

This is both bug and feature.

It's just a bug now. It results in a ratchet that only turns left, because the deep state is left.

Yeah sad but true. I'm not sure anyone knew how far gone the whole thing was.

If a bunch of cuban communists can stop them in the Bay of Pigs, what hope do they stand against us?

Their only shield is that too many of us think they are working for us.

That is quickly evaporating.

Excellent take. They are in big trouble when that shield wears thin. Hopefully the boomers see through it soon

they won't care as long as those 401k checks and Social Security keeps coming

We have no means of coordinating though. We're millions of armed people all totally isolated

This is the most important question of 2020!!

Anyone who thinks they can stand up.... most back down when their families are threatened. Honestly who is out of reach of the deep state? People keep dieing. Unless someone know who to actually fight back against, we are just chasing shadows.

I understand why some begin to tire and become more emotionally fragile. To those beginning to feel perhaps a bit less confident, I would suggest a quick historical refresher might be in order.

First, everyone should understand the USA went through a tremendously long period of stable social order. And please don't start with the 60s; I'm talking about real revolutionary/civil change. So, to a certain extent we got spoiled & lazy.

In any other era - Greece, Rome, feudal Europe, on through WWI & II, freemen well understood that by the time they reached 18, there was a very high likelihood that they would see armed combat. So what is occurring today wouldn't even have registered as anything particularly disappointing nor stressful.

OK, all that being said, you guys should go back and read "Red Badge of Courage". Like so many books one was forced to read, they really are much better the 2nd or 3rd time around. This time, read it within the context of our current events - note the emphasis on discipline and willpower.

Secondly, try "Goodbye to All That". Before Graves got burned out (after 2 years in the trenchs), he described the British ideal perfectly. What is really striking - at least to me - is how the Brits prided themselves on "owning the night". Regardless of circumstances, it was British policy to conduct night time surveillance and engage in constant nightly skirmishing. They simply were not going to allow the Germans to relax even for a moment.

If you take the time to (re)read these books and reflect on what is occurring right here, right now, I think you will gain a greater degree of appreciation for our heritage and willingness to knuckle down under the most trying circumstances.

Wow Emotionally fragile is where I am and I am ashamed of myself. It is important to remember what all the United States has endured. Thank you for the reminder. I do feel that it is President Trump and a handful of others that we can count on. So many others have let us down.

I have unapologetically been implying that we are still Rooted in Strong Judeo-Christian values. There is a reason why muslim countries are in perpetual warfare yet Christian countries are stable. The NAZIs are identical to the Chinese Communist party. They have no morals apart from Humanism and Barbarism. They both received funding from Western nations and I believe china will definitely collapse just as the NAZI 3rd Reich collapsed.

Barr makes Obama look like an amateur at feigning concern and the intention to do right.
