To be fair, the Democrat mayor is a native Nashvillian and the brother of a long-time state senator. Nashville has always been a dem city...I think they haven't had a Republican mayor since the 1800s or something. It's the least Southern city in the whole South. Feels more like the midwest, tbh. At any rate it's a shithole now.

You step outside of Nashville proper it’s all red. We’ve got enough to hold the surrounding counties, but just can’t take the city.
