This whole thing would have been avoided if the cops weren't afraid to use more force when they had him on the ground. They didn't pin him to the ground, which gave him the opportunity to grab the tazer, and then they still were too cautious about increasing use of force, which allowed him to get up and then run away with the tazer.
You’d also get banned for any mention of facts. After he got shot, everyone popped out of their cars with cameras. The things some of them said were fucking ridiculous.
“I FUCKING SAW YOU!!! FOR 20 MINUTES!!! You were harassing that poor man FOR NO REASON for 20 MINUTES!!! HE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING!!!!”
If they were there the whole time, they just saw him beat up the cops and take their taser and try shooting one of them in the face with it and run off and hit another with the taser. He was being talked to because he was so drunk he passed out in his car in the middle of a Wendy’s drive thru.
Personally, considering how patient that cop was about all of it as it went on, I’d promote him. I personally still miss the old days where if someone tried hinting at pulling that kind of shit, you just beat them down with night sticks. There’d be a lot less death’s at the hands of police if we let them use nonlethal and less than lethal force a lot earlier. The second he pulled away with the cuffs on, beat him down with a night stick. Or just tase him in the ass. Have the taser out the whole time. Have it pointed at him. Treating him like a crazy idiot sooner would have saved all their lives. Still not sad he was shot though after seeing what happened. Maybe rubber bullets as the initial rounds could have helped? Still lacking on empathy here for the crazy drunk guy with priors that caused this.
Don't forget how he did CPR on the mother fucker trying to save him. FUCK THOSE WITNESSES, for all I care intentionally lying about what you witnessed should get your ass pressed with charges
I haven’t seen them much until recently, but I mostly thought the same thing. You pull up to someone and check their record. They’re a fucking piece of shit that beats their wife and abandoned their children and steals and robs pregnant women at gunpoint and is on drugs. They’re also typically bigger guys with meat on them. They’re clearly breaking the law, so you make a motion to talk to them and calmly put them under arrest because hey, guess what, that’s what you do for a living. Douchebag’s been cursing at you the whole time and acting like he’s going to beat you up. Then what do you know he starts trying to beat you up. You take a few to the face, you try to calm him down. Then he takes your taser/gun/fucking anything and starts using it on your partner and pointing it at you.
You can’t exactly call 911 because that’s you, you’re the cavalry, you’re the help. There’s nobody coming, it’s just you against an objectively failed person that’s now trying to hurt you and your friends because you tried arresting them for knowingly breaking the law in ways that at times would lead to someone else dying, like drunk driving. The guys that get shot in these situations aren’t ‘having a bad night’, they had a bad life, and this is a continued escalation of that. They’re ‘the bad guys’. It’s them. They’re the villain. If the villain, while the fucking heroes in blue are trying to be nice to them despite being shat on by everyone including them, then starts violently attacking the cop on top of that, shooting them seems like justice being served. It’s all on camera now to show what’s actually happening, and people have records that are quite literally their character on paper.
It’s not about their race. What are they going to do, go back to prison for years and cost tax payers hundreds of thousands, then come out and do it again? Have a few oops babies and not pay child support and head back in? Stop committing crimes and stop attacking police officers and maybe you’ll stop getting shot. But if you do get shot and that’s how it went down, you’re the villain. Justice was served. The bad guy is you. They finally took your dumbass down.
They’re not out there shooting people for first time tax evasion and parking tickets.
This whole thing would have been avoided if Rayshard Brooks didn't drive drunk, pass out in his vehicle, resist arrest, fight the cops, steal a taser and then fire it at the officer.
None of this shit would ever happen if black people would just stop acting like they do when detained. Just shut the fuck up and go along and you will walk away in a few minutes unless you have a warrant but that's on them.
Bingo. He cooperated for the whole time, until it was time for the cuffs to be put on. The leo’s were polite, civil, courteous the entire time. But Rashad got uppity. Which makes me wonder what else was going on.
Dumb motherfucker. I’ve seen way to many episodes of C.O.P.S. where the dui goes smoothly.
Dont resist arrest and everyone lives to see another day.
He was on parole, DUI meant going back to prison. He was willing to do anything necessary to prevent being arrested. Of course he was too drunk/stupid to realize the cops already had his ID and all of his personal info, they'd have caught his dumb ass anyways.
I have no sympathy for him, that shithead deserved to still be in prison for the other stupid shitty things he'd already previously done.
Dude, did you notice the blacks speaking in the video? They’re just going off about how the “pigs” questioned him for “20 ffing minutes over nothing”, and he was “unarmed”.
Literally people at the scene pretending like he wasn’t drunk, the police were there for no reason, he didn’t just try to fight them, he didn’t steal a taser, and then he didn’t proceed to fire the taser at officers.
I just don’t see what you can do in an environment where people are so wilfully blind. Thank God they have bodycam and surveillance footage.
The DA in Atlanta literally said the man was "calm and cooperative until one of the officers grabbed him from behind".
I'm on the verge of a preemptive boogaloo, this shit is getting out of hand. We don't even live in the same reality anymore, much less the same country.
Reintroduce black criminals on a conditional release who are prone to violence and criminal behavior and due to their legal status are more likely to get into confrontation with cops.
Yep nothing to see there......btw thanks for helping me reframe the Wuhan flu releases, Soros has been investing in the judicial for a reason. I'd like to see stats on released Wuhan flu inmates.
No, he was convicted in 2015 and only served 4 months of his 9 year sentence before they let him out on parole. The WuFlu release is just made up bullshit, he's been out for years.
Yeah, he never had to face any real consequences for his actions, so he kept getting more and more confident, right up until the end. The system failed the police, and Rayshard failed himself.
Not really. You pin a guy with your knees into their back, neck, or head. Gee, wonder why they wouldn't want to do that???
You can see the cop even put him in a chokehold after he grabbed the tazer for a second but then let go. That's why he was easily able to get back up on his feet.
A few weeks ago there was absolutely no way that guy would have been able to get up. The cops would be smashing his face into the ground with their knees dug into his back like they're trained to do.
the police have been put in an impossible situation. they can save a life by using appropriate force, but then be fired or charged if that force looks bad on camera, or they can use appropriate force and if the person dies they get fired or charged with murder. There is no winning.
No kidding. Couldn't entice me into law enforcement as a job after watching all this. No pay is worth possibly being locked up for life for just trying to do your job.
Wrong. You do NOT pin someone on the neck. That is a technique that the military doesn't even allow when detaining people. There are better ways to control someone, but this dude was hopped up on something.
Isn't it too dangerous to kneel into their neck? Back seems like it is (much?) safer to pin. And don't you risk putting too much pressure into the skull if you kneel on the head? But I am by no means an expert.
They tried to be nice because the last time a cop used sufficient force to subdue a suspect who was also on massive amounts of fentanyl and meth we had a nation-wide chimp out.
Yeah, floyd was going to die that day no matter what, he just happened to die in police custody. Hell, even if the cop didn't put his knee on his neck, he would have still died and these riots would have still happened simply because he was in police custody when he died. I bet his family is fucking loving this too, they are millionaires now...
This whole thing would have been avoided if the cops weren't afraid to use more force when they had him on the ground. They didn't pin him to the ground, which gave him the opportunity to grab the tazer, and then they still were too cautious about increasing use of force, which allowed him to get up and then run away with the tazer.
"making a run for it, grabbing the taser, firing at officers, it's just our culture, it's what we do"
(I've a feeling I might get another subreddit ban for posting that in r/news :)
You’d also get banned for any mention of facts. After he got shot, everyone popped out of their cars with cameras. The things some of them said were fucking ridiculous.

I wanted to slap the black off of that one asshole yelling all that shit.
Don't forget how he did CPR on the mother fucker trying to save him. FUCK THOSE WITNESSES, for all I care intentionally lying about what you witnessed should get your ass pressed with charges
I watch a lot of cop body cam and its remarkable there isn't 10x the amount of cop on suspect violence.
People treat cops like shit. 90% of the time I'm like "just shoot the guy"
I haven’t seen them much until recently, but I mostly thought the same thing. You pull up to someone and check their record. A lot of white people act just the same way. It’s only a black and white issue because the democrats want that
and 13% commit over 50% of violent crimes because the democrats want it that way.
And Africa is only a shithole because of the white man colonizing it! Otherwise it'd be a paradise!!!!
Dude, did you notice the blacks speaking in the video? They’re just going off about how the “pigs” questioned him for “20 ffing minutes over nothing”, and he was “unarmed”.

They're not like us. Just look at any black country in the world.
The DA in Atlanta literally said the man was "calm and cooperative until one of the officers grabbed him from behind".
I'm on the verge of a preemptive boogaloo, this shit is getting out of hand. We don't even live in the same reality anymore, much less the same country.
Even worse for me are the blacks speaking in this video, claiming that he was unarmed, and that the police were questioning him over nothing.
Atlanta is a tough place for police.
Also, if he wasn't released from prison due to the scamdemic. That would've also helped.
Good fucking point. SMDH...
Didn’t he get the ol’ wuhan flu release?
Reintroduce black criminals on a conditional release who are prone to violence and criminal behavior and due to their legal status are more likely to get into confrontation with cops.

Any they loooove to gaslight us with “tWo TiErEd JuStIcE sYsTeM”.
No, he was convicted in 2015 and only served 4 months of his 9 year sentence before they let him out on parole. The WuFlu release is just made up bullshit, he's been out for years.
Which is frankly even worse.
Jesus that is ridiculously worse.
Sure did
Yeah, he never had to face any real consequences for his actions, so he kept getting more and more confident, right up until the end. The system failed the police, and Rayshard failed himself.
Exactly
They did try to pin him though. At 41:35

That's why they are resigning in droves. Seattle's had over 30 resignations in the past few weeks.
Guess as a cop you need to be 6'6 and 275 pounds of pure muscle.
Couldn't pay me enough to work in law enforcement right now.
Don't worry they'll listen to their masters and arrest peaceful right wing people, though.
Feel not a lick bad for them.
What do you get when you betray, the only people who ever supported you, and ABANDON THEM AT EVERY TURN?
I'll tell you what you get. You get what you fucking deserve!
Wrong. You do NOT pin someone on the neck. That is a technique that the military doesn't even allow when detaining people. There are better ways to control someone, but this dude was hopped up on something.

You do whatever you have to to win the fight.
They tried to be nice because the last time a cop used sufficient force to subdue a suspect who was also on massive amounts of fentanyl and meth we had a nation-wide chimp out.

A baton to the skull or a sleeper hold would have easily defused the situation.
Didn't exactly defuse LA in 1992 either.
