I don’t want the dude to die, off a drunk driving charge. But are you really wanting to second guess a cop that had a guy stealing then firing the cops own taser?
I guess they could have let him run away, sure. Then what? They have to go get him? Then what? What could he do in the meantime? Why did he run? Does he have warrants? Etc, etc, etc. If this guy were a wanted murderer and they let him run away, they’d have hell from the public for that. Dude....this sucks, but you can’t second guess them in a hot situation like this.
Idk, i got in trouble for DUI and you really have to think about the fact that at this guys level of drunkeness he is 100% risking other peoples. Drunk driving is honestly a huge problem as is our over indulgence in booze. Drinks are fine, drinking is best saved for home.. Better to not drink heavily at all. No pros, only cons. But free country.
I bet the "MADD" women are behind some Democrat Legislation that MANDATES arrests for anyone who is DUI.
So you really dont think that the cops could at least keep up with a drunk dude long enough for backup to come? They were justified in this but shooting at the dude with a spent taser (ive never heard of one that can shoot more than once without reloading) was bad police work. Not evil or hateful, but not good either.
