Why couldn't the other cop have tasered him instead of shooting him? I admit the guy should not have resisted arrest, but they did not have to shoot him. I respect police but this is not the hill for conservatives to die on. This is another example of why police need reform. What if they did this to an autistic man or someone mentally retarded? Do you uinderstand how it wasn't necessary for them to kill the man?

Other cop might not have had a taser.

Generally (might be some districts where this isn't the case) an officer has to do a training course in order to carry a taser. Somewhere in all the news about this incident, I read that one of the officers involved was a rookie. Probably not taser-certified.

Bit of trivia: part of taser training includes.......you guessed it........getting tasered.

I'm on the same page. I think there are other cases for us to die on. Brooks was being crappy, but you didn't need to kill the guy. Other policemen will get accused wrongly of racism. Let's fight for them but let this guy go.
