He was on parole, DUI meant going back to prison. He was willing to do anything necessary to prevent being arrested. Of course he was too drunk/stupid to realize the cops already had his ID and all of his personal info, they'd have caught his dumb ass anyways.

I have no sympathy for him, that shithead deserved to still be in prison for the other stupid shitty things he'd already previously done.
