Black mountain NC is a cool place. 50/50 lib/trump supporter. Asheville NC is 20 min away, which is a tad more liberal, but it’s still a gorgeous and cool town. In the middle of mountains, 2,500 feet above sea level.
Lots of rivers, lakes, and a bunch of hippies. Both types too. Trump hippies are not the majority, but there is a good percentage of them. Ever seen a dude with dreads, no shoes, a guitar, and a MAGA hat on?
Black Mountain NC is a truely wonderful place. That awesome hardware store, the train station.. Montreat nearby.... It's just a really welcoming town with extreamely nice people. Went there evey Summer for a few years and it always felt like home.
