sad reality today is that a lot of black people are extremely racist, and our institutions feed their narrative and foster it in order to divide people

the west is the most open, tolerant, and accepting part of the world, and we are going to go back on 200 years of progress simply out of self preservation...

His reference to Rwandan genocide is no joke.

Both in DC and Baltimore I witnessed racism between blacks based on how dark someone was - and not in a friendly, joking kind of way.

He's right. The idea that a fracture between folks in the same race couldn't possibly occur here is absolutely idiotic - I've already seen it. When you bring something like politics into the fold, these movements that have gatekeepers and corporate/media support need to be careful to not stoke any more division.

And isn't that the point? To try to remove division? The idea of questioning someone's blackness because they think differently, or painting all white people as the devil seems to be at odds with a just, moral society that most people would like to see.
