I get the sentiment, but it's really bad optics for the police. Either everyone bands together and keeps each other safe, demonstrating no need for the police, or a massive wave of crime and murder sweeps the area, demonstrating that while the police have their use are unethical for walking off - like doctor denying care to an abusive patient.
Given that their leadership and ranks are democrat, I have to wonder if these police strikes are to spite Trump.
I was only commenting on how this action by the police will likely backfire. The DA is only doing this because he's in the spotlight and wants to appease the mob.
I know security and enforcement of the law are crucial services, but it needs reform (just not the kind the left wants). I agree the officer is not guilty for following his training and reacting under fire. But forgive me if I don't blindly trust a militarized and unaccountable institution, one that is (in the case of Atlanta) commanded by Democrats.
I think I said this in another thread but the cure for a corrupt or unreliable policing force and an absent police for is the same: a well armed population.
scanner sounds totally normal right now
7:33 PM PST, silence.
We pray for the Citizens of Atlanta, that they embrace their Constitution and secure their city from harm.
Can anyone Link a live scanner up to Atlanta.?.
Protesting is gay. Let them destroy their cities.
You mean OUR cities?
All of the cities having these issues have been run entirely by Democrats for decades. Fuck em.
But not all the people in those cities are crazy. I understand what you’re saying, but I’m for the preserving of America, not the destruction of it.

Doctors can deny care for a patient. They cannot cause harm to a patient, but you don’t own the right to someone else’s labor.
How about the Democrat DA pressing murder charges on a police officer who did his job, with possibility of execution? Is that bad optics?
