The DA may have his work cut out. Can't charge any officers with crimes they didn't commit if they all walk off, er, "have a higher than usual number of callous" per the ATL PD Twitter.
Almost 40 minutes of silence on Zone 6 scanner feed, only the occasional "code 12" which means no officer available to respond, presumably between senior commanders.
It’s trending in Twitter now. Only 2 precincts active in the whole airy. Reports that zone 5 and 6 scanners are dead air. Mayor Kesia asked suburb And surrounding county cops for help and they all said no, unless the call is officer down. APD posted they had ‘unusually high’ call outs tonight.
I read that after the same DA charged 6 ATL cops with agg. assault for simply pointing a TAZER at some unruly protester many of the surrounding agencies terminated their mutual aid agreements. I can only imagine more have/will follow suit.
