Rich wypipo can also spawn devil antifa brats

That's who makes up the majority of antifa: children of upper-middle to upper class white people.

Respectfully, you keep mentioning Trump’s unlimited resources relating to his kids. You realize that not one of Trumps 5 kids are screwups, in fact they are all extremely bright and hard working. That rarely ever happens with More than a couple of kids in one family let alone 5 kids. That’s not even close to being all about resources by any stretch, you gotta give Trump massive credit as a parent. It’s Also obvious his kids really respect him, which says a lot. Conversely, look at Hunter Biden, Biden is a top 1% earner what happened there?

Fair point, but what happened to all the democrat rich kids who run around bashing the fash?

Strong leadership and boundaries is my guess.

If you have to spank your kids that many times you might as well stop, it's not going to work. The power of a spanking is that it creates a fear of being punished.

Exactly. I feared the leather belt as a kid and looking back I was an asshat that deserved the spanking and am better for it

I think spanking is controversial because people think beating equals spanking. It doesn't, a parent blowing their top and beating their child is out of control. Discipline isn't something you just do when you're tired and fed up, or try to start after the kid is older, it has to start from the beginning and be consistent. There are age-appropriate rules, and consequences for breaking them. Kids are also different - there are some that think being set in the corner for time out is the end of the world, others will sit there entertaining themselves forever and don't care, but hate spankings.

You don't have to do that unless you've already failed as a parent.

I was a good kid by all metrics but once I had a tantrum and threw one of my grandmas vases on the ground. My mom whoooped my ass. Never did something like that again. Sometimes corpal punishment is the way of getting to the point- your actions = bad consequences. It is not a substitute for good parenting, but it is a tool that is not wrong for a parent to use. Punishment is giving life to a lesson.

It should only be used in extreme circumstances, but some people use it as a primary parenting tool.

It's also somewhat akin to a nuke in that it works best as a deterrent.

Another fun fact, you don't need lots of resources to raise good kids.

Additional Fun Fact: De Blasio's a millionaire and he raised Pissbucket.

Spare the rod, spoil the child.

It’s not often but sometimes a kid needs to be put in their place. Mine was extremely strong willed. Prime example from like 15 years ago because my kid is grown. Some event transpired as we got home to our apartment and got spanked as they got out of the car.

Smartass said the people at the pool didn’t see that. So we walked over to the pool and got three swats so that they did see it. Did it hurt physically? No more than a sting but it put the pride in check and reminded them who runs the house.

These lessons are important so kids learn that being an asshole has consequences. If you do it right they don’t need a lot of discipline. I don’t think a spanking happened after 9 years old.

Around age 7 the kid liked to make me late for work. I set a rule and said we’re leaving at x time and you’ll go to school no matter how you look. The next morning the kid dallied around and got to go to school in pajamas. Cried the whole way there. After work when I went to pick up the kid, their friends asked me what was wrong because said kid had been crying all day. Guess who was ready on time after that?

Through the teen years there were few groundings because losing the cell phone is the best punishment. And once where a teacher reached out that the kid would not stop talking in class. Challenging the teacher etc.

Worst thing in this house you can do is get a call from the teacher. We grounded. Didn’t get better. Teacher called again and I said I understand your frustration. Should the kid act out again they are aware that when they come home they’ll be living in the 1800’s. They will have no phone, and 2 changes of clothes. Oddly that behavior stopped immediately.

Oh and I was a single mother through most of this. The father totally had the option to be involved but went in and out throughout childhood. Not my choice and I tried to involve him in everything but he wasn’t interested.

Probably the best feedback I got that I was doing it right was at some family gathering when the kid was around 8 said I’m like both parents; I’m soft when I need to be and I’m tough when I have to be.

The kid is now an adult, hasn’t been arrested, doesn’t do drugs, barely drinks, doesn’t have a kid out of wedlock, works and goes to school. I know the single parent household doesn’t work for all but I sacrificed a lot of sleep and a lot of other things to ensure the kid had the same upbringing they’d have had with a two parent household.

TLDR sometimes you have to be the adult and put your kid in their place so they grow up to be good people. It’s not fun but it really does hurt you more than them.

If you're working so much you can only reach your kids by beating them, you have failed, sorry.
