That's all well and good as far as it goes, but June 19th is a Friday. And people will need to cash payroll checks as well as make use of bill paying services that the bank offers.
Seems self defeating and cynical.
I'd prefer the bank took a look at creating products and services to help people who, for whatever reason, can't or don't have bank accounts. You know; the poor, single parents, people who just got out of jail, people with bad credit, people who haven't learned how to budget or manage their $$$.
It's probably much easier to close the bank's door a few hours early for a single day.
Honestly I don't know. The notice was dated today and it states they were closing branches and offices so I assume the drive thrus will be closed as well.
I guess people with the mobile app will be able to make a deposit, but there's still a wait for the funds to be made available.
