It doesn’t have to be law. It can be the policy of a private company selling its services. They can make using their service contingent on wearing a mask.
Also, too, the fact that the cabin is depressurized to the equivalent pressure of around 8000' (to keep the ratio between the inside and outside pressure below a certain amount), you have reduced oxygen anyway. I don't know about you, but I'd even have a tough time going about in Colorado Springs or even Mexico City with a mask on.

Don't tell anyone.
But actually have a tough time breathing in the altitude around Lake Tahoe without any mask.
Never had trouble in Denver.
.
The airlines, like most, have gone crazy.
In the past, they would sit a strong male passenger at the emergency exit. The idea was that you needed someone capable of opening the door if needed.
Now they sell this seat to anyone, at a higher price due to the extra leg room.
In the past, everyone was taught, if they paid attention to the preflight performance by the flightcrew, that quickly putting on the oxygen mask was essential to survival if there was depressurization.
Now, forcing people to wear a mask that makes them look like a terror group in the 1980s hijacking a plane to Lebanon. A mask on all the time, except for when they have a drink, or when they have a meal, or when it gets so uncomfortable or they become so unconscious it has to come off.
if you have to have a mask on by some rule or w/e, malicious compliance: just wear it really shitty like, not over your nose, etc. make them codify the actual wearing of it so that they start policing themselves over this shit.
The airlines did make a press statement that they would be doing this, so no surprise there. It's their plane, their policy. Play along until the plane is in the air and then take it off, they won't turn the plane around, but claim to possibly put you on a no fly list.
no, I'm waiting for one of them to have the jets scrambled because someone took the mask off in flight, or have LEOs waiting to take you after parking at the gate.

Its the fact that this particular crew was pushing it as a law and that they weren't allowed to depart until everyone had their faces covered up.
If you read the second tweet, a manager apologized for it, saying that shouldn't have happened.
They lost the luggage.
One of the people on the phone at the lost luggage for the airline was very rude.
While not important to anyone here, at the time that was huge, due to what was in the luggage.
.
Wouldn't a mask also be dangerous for passengers, how are they going to quickly put the oxygen mask on if their mouth is covered by a mask?
EXACTLY!!

Yeah, and now if you don't wear a mask, you're looked on as the criminal or the terrorist.....
Le sigh.
Re-breathing your own CO2 is bad enough at sea level. Google hypercapnia.
AA is happy that they don't have to serve drinks and food anymore, even in first. Think of the labor and fuel saved. That's all they care about.
It's the pilot's union that asked for this. Why is beyond me. I won't fly again until this mask shit ends.
Gonna be a long time before I get on a plane. Fuck this shit.
Maybe we riot to get American Airlines renamed to Antifa Airlines?
Brandon, call Robert Barnes, attorney-at-law. File suit. Retire.
How in the hell does a county judge have more power than the county legislature? Is this Tarrant County?
Dallas county too. Clay Jenkins.
Or else what? Can he (the judge) remove a county sheriff who refuses? What about DPS? Can he "order" DPS/Rangers in to carry out his "or else"?
All against state laws and the governor's policies?
