I'd totally vote for this mayor.

And there isn't anything controversial about it... except the actual racists (lefties) will assume he's talking about black people, erm, I mean People of Color, and say he is a racist.

Even calling black people 'oppressed' all the time.

Black people are completely equal to every other American without a second thought. That's so messed up the left runs around calling them basically 'lower' all the time.

In NC, the parent/guardian of every child enrolled in school will receive $370 in food stamps per month for two months!

North Carolina has been approved for the new Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program. This program will provide extra help buying groceries for the families of the more than 800,000 children who normally receive free and reduced lunch at school.

Families will receive approximately $370 in total P-EBT benefits per child, provided over two installments. Families can use the P-EBT benefit to purchase food items at EBT authorized retailers, including most major grocery stores. Unused benefits will rollover month-to-month and must be used within 365 days.

Families do not need to apply for the P-EBT program. P-EBT eligible families currently receiving Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) benefits received an additional benefit on their existing Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.

I used to work managing some section 8 housing. They don't even respect all the shit they are given, they routinely trash the place such that a year after everything has been refinished, you'd think the place hadn't been cleaned in a century.... There's a lot I love about New England and this City, it's where I was raised, but damn I cannot wait to get out.

People don’t appreciate things that they did not earn. It’s why a lot of rich kids are coked up idiots that crash their Lambos, and it’s one of the reasons that “urban communities” are in the state that they are in.

2
catch-a-penny 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is truth. It can be the same either way, rich or poor.

8
AwakeAwareNow 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yep. My friend owns a sec-8 house and the person in it keep selling the refrigerator then claims it broke.. so he let her sit for a while without one. Plus he upped the rent so she has to pay $25. a month. Make her pay something!

3
JuanTitor 3 points ago +3 / -0

A friend of mine had some, and he said he got a call about a broken door in the house, door was off the hinges, so he fixed it. Got a call from the same tenants about a broken door less than a month later; his quote was "I guess they like not having doors, so I waited a while to fix that one."

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +2 / -1

You can't up the rent on Section 8 without HUD's approval. HUD determines the percentage the renter has to pay if anything.

If they sell the fridge, he does not have to replace it. He can send them a bill.

There is also a simple solution, if they sell the fridge, but them a crappier used one to replace it.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

HUD is strict on their rules for section 8, for sure

2
AwakeAwareNow 2 points ago +2 / -0

He got approval and she has to pay $25.00 a month. He let her feel the pain.. bought a new one and she didn't do that again. Kek good idea on the crappy replacement.

3
SnowflakeJuice 3 points ago +3 / -0

I like how you say you "used to manage section 8" . I got the same background, no one who has options does it for too long, or you will lose your sanity.

8
bck- 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yep. My aunt and uncle bought a condo in Assembly Square. Really nice place, the area is quickly turning into a dump though. But they pay 3k a month for it, and in the same building with the same condos are low income families getting them for a lot cheaper. It’s fucked up.

12
deleted 12 points ago +12 / -0
8
Afeazo 8 points ago +8 / -0

That is basically what “affordable housing” is currently. If anyone knows about the Projects they used to have in Chicago before they demolished them, you can’t just put thousands of low income housing units in one building and fill them with people. It got so bad police would not respond to the building as it was too dangerous. The high rises were next to each other and gang members would shoot AK’s between buildings at each other. So they tore them down.

That’s why they now mix low income with regular housing, to thin out the crime. Except they also figured out how to spend less on it by giving heavily discounted housing to some and having the rest subsidize it. In my town we have one of these mixed units and low income residents pay 1/4 what everyone else does, a different of over $2,250

2

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Did you live in Chicago through this era? Do you know how long people lived in those buildings before they got torn down?

All women/gender non-binary, trans, queer, other kin, furniture sexual beings of black, Mexican, Korean, communist, Native American, Muslim, Palestinian, and ethnically-unspecified comrades deserve the right to take your life, your stuff, and pursue you for our happiness.”

Representation per capita per race? Love to see those numbers!

If 90% of a race making up 15% total population is on it, and 5% of a second race making up 55% of the population is on it, can we compare the two race based participation and ask why there is a difference?

8
RagnarD 8 points ago +8 / -0

I quick search revealed that in 1996 (yeah, 25 years ago but I don't have the inclination to look for more recent data) about 10% of the White population and almost 40% of the Black population were on welfare.

https://www.nap.edu/read/9719/chapter/8

2

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

He's referring to violent crime: 53% of that is committed by 13% of the population. You were talking about welfare

4
GreatNW 4 points ago +4 / -0

Largely goes along with poverty, plenty of poor whites but proportionally last data points I've seen have been higher for black people per capita... but even that gets complicated when you consider African American descendants of slaves are groups into the same stat blocks as Somali immigrants.

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0
2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

You are not living in reality. I have worked in these communities, and it has become a generational way of life. They don't expect or desire anything different from their children. They expect the sons to bee drug dealers and the girls are going to be single mothers collecting welfare.

There idea of a better life for their children, is more government handouts.

There are some exceptions. I had one tenant, single mother of three, who when welfare reform was instituted about a decade ago, She went to nursing school (part of welfare reform, was to assist with schooling/job development).

She became an RN, which can make a very decent salary, and her children have a future. She earned my highest respect. But now, somehow, welfare reform is bad.

3
GreatNW 3 points ago +3 / -0

You seem to be reading things I'm not saying? My comment about it going largely along poverty lines is accurate, plenty of poor white people on foodstamps is reality.

I've lived in uban centers with plenty of black on black crime and I've also lived/worked in rural places near tribal rez land, I totally get the fucked culture of communities that basically only survive off the government handouts and crime.

Nothing you said particularly clashes with anything I wrote and I even generally agree. I personally would say those shitty views are held by too many people and are pushed by media/popculture/selfish ignorant people but in no way is that the entire black community, just like methhead trailer parks white trash are not the entire white community... but whatever you're entitled to your own opinion even if it does color millions of people in a very broad brush.

when_we_win_remember 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sure, but I don't want to ignore the fact that there are a lot of white people refusing to work as well. When I was watching the riots in Atlanta, on TV and on livestream, there were about half non-black (not all white, not trying to get into that fight, but some). So I don't want to ignore the enemies in my community being too busy focused on the other.

87

I had a tenant experience with someone milking the system. Their son ended up living there and breaking into my apt multiple times. Race had nothing to do with being horrible people.

52
PurestEvil 52 points ago +55 / -3

Well, technically you are dealing with probabilities and tendencies when it comes to races. At the end the individual matters.

Imagine you have 2 good muslim friends you know for ages, who are just good people. Do you trust 1000 other muslims coming to your town to be like them? Or rather match the statistical reality, which I guess we can agree upon is rather dire?

This is at large the general issue with collectives vs individuals. I know people who are intelligent, smart and reasonable from bad countries. I don't let my personal bias get in the way to shroud my view about their countries. I don't give in to pretend I have yet to judge every single person and therefore I am forced to ignore statistics and collective traits for the sake of being... being what actually?

I am an Individualist by principle, but I am not blind to ignore facts over it. Individualism means to adhere to reality over theory. People carry their collective traits with them - just as you do. I am a white person and as such I share attributes common among white people. I am also Hungarian and share values common among Hungarians. I am male and share values common among males. That is a statistical reality. However, I could totally deviate from some of my "identities", and that is variance we can expect with most people.

At the base level I expect people to behave based on their identities due to necessary ignorance about the individuals - it's a low resolution image, which is preferable to NO image at all (because people are not just results of total randomness) - until I can examine them individually. The image gets more clear, the individual surfaces. If I also talk to the person, my image becomes even clearer about them.

Do I consider stereotypes to be useful? Yes.

Do I assume deviations from stereotypes are the exception? No. That's what makes people human, more than just numbers and groups. Dehumanization occurs when we ignore or surpass individuality from people.

The low resolution image may be inaccurate, but it is still useful.

For example that Mexican trucker got fired for having made the ok-symbol with his hand accidentally (aka white supremacists sign, because we live in clown world). The people who came after him do not care the slightest about who he was. All they saw was that he had a white skin color, looked like a working class person, and made a hand gesture they forbade. That's enough information for them, they don't even want to know more, they even rely on ignorance - boom, guilty. Nobody asked him anything. That is Collectivism in action.

Raw numbers wise, there are probably more whites doing this than any other race. And they should be called out for it, as should every other person doing so.

Social programs might legitimately help many people, but by their nature they are designed for people to game the system. I would daresay that a majority of the people on them are fraudsters. But don't hate the player, hate the game

17
RiverFenix 17 points ago +17 / -0

I've always thought the social programs are more than adequate to solve most of societies problems but nobody cares enough to take a year and clean them up - sort out whatever corruption, steam line them and make them more effective/efficient each year..

JUST LIKE CHARITIES NEED SERIOUS AUDITING. "FIND THE CURE" researchers included.

8
Basileus 8 points ago +8 / -0

There is an entire cottage industry around them. And a vested interest not only in the electoral base, but also the government jobs to "adjudicate/award" them.

It would actually probably be cheaper money-wise to just give them out upon application rather than set up a system to investigate it. That's cheaper money-wise, but not the cost to society as a whole.

There is virtually zero chance that this will be reformed, at least under the current system.

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

Many commentors above you are also saying the same thing. Maybe you can contact him, just instead of thanking him for making a stand that our Nation is at stake here and giving any inch ... or however you want to do it.

Bread and circuses is real. At some point when over half the population becomes net-takers and can vote, your democracy is doomed.

There's a great quote in there. It might be better if somebody spit it out intact: something about if they people ever discover we can vote ourselves money, the republic is doomed.

And that's basically what Biden is campaigning on

4
MaxineWaters4Prez 4 points ago +4 / -0

It won't take half the population. The contributions of several people are erased by a single leech.

14
Scorpion 14 points ago +14 / -0

Take away their privilege to vote (it's not and has never been a right.) If you're taking out of the system more than you're putting in, why should you have a say in how the system is run? Why should you be able to vote to give yourself more benefits to do nothing?

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

You know I think something along these lines is needed, but more: some quiz about every vote you want to cast, that just insures you have some basic idea where they stand on certain issues. Of course this assumes electronic ballots, and we want to encourage paper ballots so maybe this isn't doable

$100,000 to go back to Africa. I don't care let's go into debt for this. It's well worth it.

"Even if it even saves 1 life" it will save a lot more than that.

4
RenaissanceOfHope 4 points ago +4 / -0

That would be $4.92 trillion which we cannot afford with our national debt.

I’m not saying that I support it, I just did the fiscal math.

They are a net loss of taxes. All of our money goes towards it, anyways.

Might as well bleed for a cause instead of indefinite hemmoraging.

1
GreatNW 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just create some rampant inflation first so 100k is worth maybe 1/3 its current value but still has a psychological pull. Then we tax all the remittances to Africa and Mexico hard to repay everything!

Ok ok maybe its a terrible idea...

The truth shouldn't be controversial but in the world of the left, it is. That's all a fact. There's an abundance of black privilege in this country- privilege of shit being given to you that you did not earn, being propped up by everyone else, having the bar lowered for you, housing/school paid for, mandated race admissions, etc.

I watched a black kid last year spend over $80 on Gatorade and bags of candy with an EBT card. Eff this system.

True. When my kids asked for expensive shoes, cause their classmates have them, I told them that those kids probably have the poorest parents. I hit it home when I showed them exactly where a couple of their friends live.

19
MamaLlama4DJT2020 19 points ago +19 / -0

A public teacher friend of mine said some of his students will have the newest phones & most expensive sneakers and not one damn pencil, piece of paper or binder when they come to school. He raids the “general supply “ closet on the regular so those kids have no excuses.

17
supermagafragilistic 17 points ago +17 / -0

I can still hear it, the kid with $200 sneakers, all designer clothes, 3 chains around his neck, "Let me borrow a puncil". Meanwhile me in my shoes with holes in them and 2nd hand thrift store outfit, all the supplies I needed. In high school I stopped carrying a backpack because it was so rampant and I got tired of arguing with them. I'd carry my notebook, textbook, and a pen in my pocket, fuck off I ain't got no puncil.

6

My sneakers are over a year old, and the bottoms are worn smooth and peeling off. I keep putting off buying a new pair because money is tight. The government decided I can afford to pay hundreds a week in taxes, but I need to save so I can buy shoes. And I buy the $60 Chinese sweatshop bullshit.

10
Unboosted 10 points ago +10 / -0

This is not controversial. This is just simply telling the truth. The amount of priviledge these people have is unbelievable. I've been working a regular job since I was 13 years old. I have to earn a better life. Something is wrong when you are coddled so extremely that you become a hateful, bigotted, supremacist, abusive ghetto dweller and you still complain that you dont have enough. Its pathetic and shocking. The amount of hatred flowing from these freeloaders in almost inmeasurable. While at the same time kids you have went to college are being passed over for low skilled workers from HB1 visas and left with massive debt and most are called "privledged". My wife worked 2 jobs while she was putting herself through college. She was the only one out of her groups of friends there that wasnt getting a free ride. She also was the only white one out of her group of friends interestingly.

Until people address that their culture is shit, and other cultures had better stop elevating it and acting like its cool.

They are going to call it racist, despite it describing welfare queens of all colors. I worked at a grocery store and seen all of this in one family, driving an H2, with $1,000 in food stamps and another $1,000 in cash aid, 4 teen kids out of school dressed in designer clothes with iPhones...

I'm poor, always have been.

Not so poor that I'm entitled to any of this free shit, but just poor enough that I could never afford to pay for it out of my own pocket.

I've never been on unemployment, never got food stamps, no welfare of any kind.

But I am the guy that has to clip coupons, delay purchases, and be thrifty and spartan.

So what's the solution? I do without.

Now most things I'm fine doing without, but somethings actually hurt to not have.

My partner just turned 31, and we are now worried if we will ever be able to have kids for all of the reasons listed above.

It's a infuriating situation when at present, if we continue to work we can't afford to have children (something she want's tremendously) - but we know damn well that if we just 'gave up' and became total welfare pieces of shit we could objectively have better lives on someone else's dime. Doubly so because a good portion of why we can't afford the things we need, is we are paying so that others can enjoy them.

Holy shit if these numbers are true, you can't run a country like that. This is exactly what the globohomos want, for everybody to know we can never pay the national debt off it's hopeless. That's when they take everything.

We are here. (Although those numbers should be challenged. GDP vs national debt is a good way to start)

I had a job several years ago that sometimes took me into section 8. Oh the horrors. The one that made me the angriest though is the shitbird that had an entire wall full of his Jordan shoe collection. WTF? No joke Floor to ceiling of Jordans yet the house was trashed and smelled of filth.
