Villains always have a backstory where something happens to them during childhood. The death of a loved one is really common.
They have created the idea that people are no longer evil, hence they just need kindness and understanding to be redeemed.
There are no movie portrayals of people who are truly evil and do bad things simply because they enjoy causing chaos.
Now we have a generation of people who don’t understand that there are sick motherfuckers out there who will rape, murder, and destroy just because they can.
