The people in blue Texas cities really believe it.

The leftist faction of those people think we're all incredibly selfish for not wearing a mask in all public places or for re-opening a business, and they're full of hate and vitriol about it. They also lump us all in with assholes who go into stores to purposefully cause trouble by blowing on things, and who scream at or assault employees asking them to wear masks.

I spoke to more rational people who are concerned about it. All of them said they know someone in the medical community who has seen terrible things, or have a friend or friend of a friend who died from it. They're not demanding everyone stay home; but I can see why they'd want people to wear a mask and social distance.

Thinking about moving to Texas, what’s a good area for raising kids that’s not a liberal shithole but not in the middle of nowhere

6
Cyer6 6 points ago +6 / -0

I live in Williamson County which borders north of Travis county which is Austin. Supposedly Williamson is one of the most conservative counties in the state. So maga folks who love the Austin area tend to flock to Williamson. I see almost a night and day difference when going to businesses in both of these counties.

We bought a place in a tiny town of 400, about half an hour from a couple low-mid 5 digit cities. Instead of a terrible rumor mill, we found the most welcoming and helpful neighbors we'd ever imagined. Anytime something went wrong, they were there to help out without being asked. We ended up not staying because of the distance from our families, but I really regret not making that move permanent.

SpaceOlympian 2 points ago +3 / -1

There are plenty of great suburban towns outside of the major cities of Texas. I’ll be moving from Houston down to Sugarland soon. It’s a great town with fantastic schools and about 30 minutes from downtown Houston if you need to commute.

Yet in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston the cities are all finding ways around Abbott's EO, imposing fines for businesses that done require masks, for example.

NEVER locking down again. EVER!

9
Whoopies_tds 9 points ago +9 / -0

But but but the news said their is a spike and they have seen an increase of up to 30%.....funny how they didn’t put any real numbers behind that 30% For all we know is asymptomatic cases went from 10 to 13 somewhere <— that’s 30%

4
N7fury 4 points ago +4 / -0

Also, these spikes happen when you are doing close to 500k tests in the aggregate a day. TDS is eroding people's brains where they can't do math. As long as metrics like hospitalizations and positivity rates plateau and drop, we should fully reopen. Also, why are we still in Covid season? This death toll keeps tallying when they stop counting for flu seasons by now. Crowder pointed this out on the latest Change My Mind and I thought it was a good point.

https://ycharts.com/.../us_coronavirus_tests_administered_per_day

1
Whoopies_tds 1 point ago +1 / -0

I got an invitation in the mail today to “test for anti-bodies” If positive, I have zero doubt that will be used to show a “spike” in positive tests.

1
Marshall 1 point ago +1 / -0

Last I heard, the much vaunted antibody test had a failure rate of 50% which is a coin flip. It is essentially worthless. But regular testing should show a spike because they suspended many test sites during the riots.

7
bck- 7 points ago +7 / -0

It’s been like that in Massachusetts for months. Meanwhile our Governor gave the OK for the mayor of Boston (another blowhard) to hold a 10,000+ person protest for BLM. However, he’s threatening small businesses that he deemed “aren’t essential”, by saying he can force city officials to change the locks on their businesses if they do not comply and stay closed. It’s fucking ridiculous.

We should never fall for this Coronascam again. My worry is they(New World Order commies) will release a real virus(not a scam virus like COVID), and then blame conservatives because we didn't buy the first beta test which was all fake and inflated numbers.

5
American-Patriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

I personally said our US constitution must always stand, and our rights protected. We should have never forced lockdown. If people want to willfully do it, or willfully self quarantine, fine. And I don't care if a disease has a. 02% death rate or a 50% death rate. Our rights are absolute above all else. Nothing should ever suspend or disbarr them.

Really pissed the media destroyed the public’s faith in them to at least report on a potential biohazard honestly.

We all get they are partisan hacks politically. But I still had hoped that if a zombie apocalypse were coming I could trust them.

Nope. They lie. About EVERYTHING.

Now they destroyed that good faith over a non-issue, seasonal like flu! If a real serious threat does ever actually happen, I’m not gonna believe them until people start dying all around me.

Another good comparison is an average of how many flu deaths happen yearly.

If flu deaths are around 115 yearly, we know Corona is a new disease that’s as deadly as the flu. But if it’s around 200-300 flu deaths yearly 🤔🤔🤔

I don't know... quick glance and intuition tells me I can't trust this data. I'm betting they are double-counting Flu/Pneumonia/Wuhan deaths. For example, look at NY and then look at Vermont. Charts should be somewhat similar, right? They are not.

I would like to see a chart that shows all deaths from last 50 years and see if there is a spike during the last four months.

It was a bio weapon engineered in China. It was used to try to bring down Trump by causing mass deaths in the US. That is why WHO, democrats, MSM, all said it was "racist" to avoid Chinatown and downplayed the virus. If Trump didn't take action by January 31 (he shut down flights from China on this day), they would have won.

I'm doing my part to make them sound as ridiculous as possible, like a crazy person, and publicly.

Empty hospitals, ventilators gathering dust, nobody knows anyone under the age of 60 who has died, two hospital ships that went nearly 100% unused. Remind them how absurd this has all been.

Embarrassment works. Make them sound like a lunatic and that masks are the new tinfoil hat.

6
Meatbank84 6 points ago +6 / -0

I dont know a single person that had KungFlu between 18-50 they needed a Ventilator. They all self quarantined at home and got better with no issues. Most common thing I was told by folks who had it was it was like a really harsh dry cold and they had no taste or smell.

26
Ebbie8708 26 points ago +26 / -0

So here in AZ, the governor left it up to the mayors to fucking decide about mask.

As of last night, 500k+ tests, 40k+ positive, and 1200+ deaths. With more than half hospitalizations (1600+) being 65 and over being an age group that tends to be hospitalized more often than any other group.

I wish wish our fucking governor would do press conferences that didn’t transcribe like fucking CNN headlines. ‘Cases up 600%!!’ And ‘Highest single day death count!!’ Really mean ‘1200 new cases’ and ‘20 goddamn people.’ Also a 99.98% survival rate would make people feel better. Just sayin’.

Is that really worth the almost half a million Arizonans out of work? Fuck no. I live in Scottsdale, a place known for retirement. These old people are living their best life. I applaud and appreciate them.

25
TheThreeSeashells 25 points ago +25 / -0

Also a 99.98% survival rate would make people feel better.

They've been conveniently leaving the recovery/no symptoms statistics out on purpose. They've been doing it since the start. That's why really early on I decided this was all a hoax. (By hoax, I don't mean the CCP Virus doesn't exist and people don't get sick. I'm talking about the overreaction to it.)

16
JeremiahKassin 16 points ago +16 / -0

When I saw that the vast majority of people don't have symptoms, that's when I knew. It's very very rare for a person without visible symptoms to be able to spread a virus. If they don't display symptoms, it's because the virus can't replicate enough in their system to actually cause a problem. Yes, there are notable exceptions, like typhoid Mary, but those are notable because they're exceptions. Anyone with even basic medical knowledge should have been able to tell the same. But apparently we're all into pretending we don't know basic facts this year, and we're all slaves to fashion.

7
IAbsolutelyDare 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yeah, the asymptomatic cases have the same viral load as pediatric cases, and so far no child has transmitted it or AFAIK died of it.

I jumped aboard the hoax train week one, when it was revealed that people below 60 had a 0.5% death rate, yet they were obviously and transparently trying to panic everyone.

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0
3
MaxineWaters4Prez 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's why the only thing you hear about is new cases. It's the only number that they can use because it will always be a positive number, and the total cases number will always go up.

Of course, we have more new cases because we have more testing.

2
TheThreeSeashells 2 points ago +2 / -0

And I keep reminding people that they count "positive tests" as "cases." To me, a case is someone who is sick with symptoms and needs medical attention. If someone tests positive and never has a single symptom and their body just fights it off, I don't even count that as a "case." The liars will...but I won't.

Pray_The_Rosary 17 points ago +17 / -0

Unfortunately the Dems don't care. They manufactured a virus to give Dam governors total control over their state and pumped out so many lies to scare people into never leaving their house. They didn't even bother to make sure hospitals and test sites appeared busy. Just told the MSM to run stories about crowded facilities and then set up a system where not only were appointments required for testing but you also had to be "vetted" to make one.

Everyone stayed home and didn't question a thing. Even if the MSM report on VP Pence's words without distorting them, they could announce a second wave and everyone would believe the MSM and governors without question. States will become a totalitarian government overnight, again, and anyone violating the king's orders would be thrown in the dungeon.

You know what is really scary? After crying wolf for so long if a wolf actually comes (think airborn hiv or ebola) nobody will take it seriously. Also the politicization of treatment is terrifying. Instead of cheap effective drugs we are told to use expensive lethal vents and wait for a dubious vaccine. Even peer reviewed medical journals have TDS.

1
IthoughtIwalked 1 point ago +1 / -0

And really, I feel like this all stems from cancel culture. We're the "silent majority" and so the "vocal minority" runs the show. People can't publish or push the truth because they are scared to do so. I'm not making an excuse for anybody, but I do understand where they are coming from. It is easy to see why individuals aren't willing to risk their livelihoods (most recently like Gundy) without a nationwide cultural pushback that a mass of people can act on simultaneously.

2
Homopratensis1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I am a medical processional and I've basically lost faith in the integrity of our journals. The Lancet/NEJM retraction was outrageous as is Dr. Fauci. People are dying over this stuff and it's all preventable.

It's like that's the only virus in existence right now. Strep, flu, pneumonia, sinus infections, liberalism, allergies, common cold, emphysema, MRSA, arthritis, and every other ailment just ceased existence for the Kung fucking flu. It's absurd.

9
Hayride 9 points ago +9 / -0

I know someone who went to the hospital in the last 10 days because she was "sicker than she's ever been in her life". Of course they tested for WuFlu, it was suggested it might also be meningitis and she was sent home with antibiotics. WuFlu test was negative but she was told it could be a false negative. ??? That's where we're at this far along in the alleged pandemic? If the test can be false negative, can they be false positive? How much lying went on to pad the stats?

6
MightyEighth 6 points ago +6 / -0

3
hollow_fang 3 points ago +3 / -0

The amount of false positives here is likely absolutely insane.

1
deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
1
IthoughtIwalked 1 point ago +1 / -0

Eh.... Sounds like 100% bullshit to me. No doctor "suspects" meningitis and then sends the patient home with oral antibiotics.

1
Hayride 1 point ago +1 / -0

The dr gave the oral antibiotics (throat infection/cough etc) of course, it was an ER nurse who did/said everything else. I should have made that clear. I wonder if that makes it any better? This far into the planDEMic and this is what you can expect from the people in the front trenches? I'm sure some hospitals are better and I'm sure there's places that are worse.

Added bonus, the person I work with who had this happen is one of the people who believes we're on (or at least were on) the verge of a zombie apocalypse but she didn't want to get tested for WuFlu because they shove the swab up your nose for a few seconds. She obviously toughed it out.

sick and tired of the modern thinking that just because there's something "new" (by way of a new name) out there, we all have to freak out, put on hazmat suits, shut everything down and basically wait for a vaccine before we go back to normal. We don't need to develop new medicines and new vaccines for every new viral threat. Our human immune systems didn't stop working in March 2020. We're even losing basic immunity to everyday threats because we aren't exposed to them anymore, even when "out in the elements" we wear masks that stop us from confronting the threats and allowing our immune systems to stimulate into creating antibodies and defense mechanisms. Our immune systems don't see the everyday threats anymore and shut down manufacturing protection. So now those summer allergies are going to hit you worse, you will be more susceptible to even the most common bugs and you're generally going to have worse health. Never mind the host of problems masks pose...hypoxia, low Blood O2, re-breathing exhaled oral bacteria, heat exhaustion, slow suffocation. It's like look, the masks even tell you on the package they don't stop infection. And if the material was dense enough to stop a virus getting through, you couldn't breathe through it anyway.

I was reading an article in a non-political site about how Fauxci was saying that if there's a World Series this year, it has to be held during the summer. (Ignoring of course that MLB hasn't even agreed when to start yet and that a "summer World Series" would be impossible. But it's just Fauxci being Fauxci again.) Curious to see the reactions in a non-political site, I decided to check out the comments section. It started out alright with a lot of "Why the hell is anyone listening to this fraud"-type comments.

As I continued I started to notice that a lot of Karenesque comments started creeping in. Including a lot of people that actually still believe two million Americans are going to die and citing the long debunked Niall Ferguson fraud model. Even when others set them straight with the facts, they refused to believe it, naturally resorting to insults in the absence of facts to back their misinformation.

I do believe people are waking up, but there are unbelievably still a lot of people still stuck on square one who are determined to remain petrified at all costs.

How can there be a second wave when we haven't even been through the first wave? Get real, clown world. Just because they suspended their gaslighting for the protests does not mean the virus was ever under control. YOU CANT CONTROL IT. It's a reality we need to learn to live with it and the medical field needs to find a better treatment other than sticking respirators down people's throat and then killing them once they become dependent on the ventilators to breath and have them removed.

Fuck, this whole crisis just shows how clueless doctors are when there isn't an established protocol for an efficient treatment for them to follow and they have to "wing it", they will always be questioned by me after this.

Is this proven, are you 100% certain, can we go over the results again, do you genuinely believe this is the best recourse, can I overcome this without medical intervention, are the cases where treatment makes it worse, on and on. Not like I didn't do this before but now I'll make sure to always do so. No more in and outs going to use that full hour covering everything

Very true. Based on how viral they claimed and the alleged rnaught this virus shouldnt require 10,000 protesters to gather to have a second wave. The secondnwave should have been weeks ago if it was legit.

Its all bullshit. I think china let it out and then shutdown as part of a show. I think they knew from the start it wasny as bad as claimed and I bet the death toll is half of ehat was claimed in the US. I dont know if there was a worse strain in italy or what, but this was all bullshit.

If there was, it may have something to do with health professionals saying it was okay to stand shoulder to shoulder because of muh racism and riot for weeks on end.

I read this yesterday and was so glad they published this. Now Kate Brown is mandating all Oregonians in several counties, including mine, wear face masks in all businesses. Meanwhile there are still thousands of protestors and rioters roaming the streets totally supported and they are blaming the new outbreak on a church.

Very angry today 😔

I keep hearing about second waves in California and Texas, but I won't take those reports seriously until I see a reliable source weigh in with good numbers. I'm not willing to give the MSM the benefit of the doubt on anything unless it disputes their narrative, because only then can I trust they're being (reluctantly) truthful.

Some might call this confirmation bias, but I'm willing to accept inconvenient facts. What I'm not willing to do is take them at face value without a lot of convincing. If the media tells me something that advances leftist crap, I assume it's most likely either fake news or inflated ridiculously in a way that suits their bias. If they say something that makes their side look bad, I believe it because I know they were forced to accept it after checking 100 times. In those rare cases, the truth is actually much more stark than even what they admit to.

The only times I question news that's good for the center or the right are when it comes from a friendly source, or a frenemy source like Fox.

I sent this to my kids public school on Twitter. They are struggling to realize they can open school and move on. I'm going to have leave this shit hole state if they don't open school for my kids.

Dominick 3 points ago +3 / -0

Even if there is I don't care. I'm done. I'll put on a bandana if I need to get into a store, but I'm not wearing a mask while walking around outside and I'm not spending my summer inside.

There IS a Second Wave, and it's coming from Mexico.

Look up Imperial, CA. There are tons of people who live in Mexico and work on the US side of the border, along with the ones in Mexico getting sick then getting dumped on our side of the border for "free" care.

San Diego's hospitals are flooded. So are Palm Springs, and they are trying to push them on us here in LA (transfers from these hospitals).

I'm a nurse in LA. Covid is NOT gone, and we're still getting exposed to it. I'm not advocating for another US Quarantine, but this still has a potential to be with us for awhile. My hospital has seen a decline in cases, but the ones coming from Mexico has us worried, and my hospital is DEFINITELY getting prepared for a possible Second Wave.

I was looking through the numbers for v the countries in California and comparing them to the population and noticed that Imperial Country had an insanely high number of new cases, given the small population. You just explained it. Thank you.

Is your hospital using Hydroxychloroquine+Zinc or is it like the death trap ventilator hospital with based whistleblower nurse?

Not standard treatment on the floors, can't speak to what the ICU is doing, but I haven't heard. Definitely NOT a death trap (and really, LA doesn't have the stats for any LA hospitals to be considered a Covid death trap, but some have shit-tier staff that makes them death traps for non-covid reasons)

All I can say is that I haven't personally administered those meds for covid patients, and I don't go looking into the charts of patients that aren't mine (don't want to get fired for HIPPAA violations!) Our covid patients on the floors are stable, and many were sent home in the early phases because all we were doing was monitoring and giving tylenol for the mild cases. The severe cases go straight to the ICU for closer monitoring, so IF we are using that regimen that's where it would be used.

So it's like the death trap ventilator hospital then.

No, it's fucking not. Don't twist my words. Death Trap hospitals are co-habitating patients with covid with those who are covid-free in the same room. Placing a patient who's at-risk for possibly rapidly declining where they can get faster treatment and away from non-covid patients is the precise opposite of a "death trap". You fucking sicken me, and you should go crawl back to your job at CNN you fake news shill. Your ignorance is fucking astounding.

suggests using Hydroxychloroquine+Zinc on severe patients in ICU instead of earlier when it can be most effective then calls me fake news

You insipid fucking retard, reread what I initially fucking wrote. I. Do. NOT. Work. In. The. ICU. I specifically told you I couldn't answer to what my ICU does because I don't fucking work in the goddamn ICU. And you, with your retarded CNN worldview just automatically insists that my hospital is a "deathtrap". Get fucked.

Doesn't matter if you work in the ICU or not. Doesn't matter how emotionally triggered you are. My point still stands.

The media is so predictable, I already know headlines will soon read “There is a second wave of coronavirus. Pence lied” or something to that effect...

🙄

I keep hearing "There has been an increase in people showing up for test's": I cant help but think they're paying people to make it look crowded, along with the amount of people who they are scaring into getting tested. Lots of sub subconscious manipulation going on..

1
Lemontree75 1 point ago +1 / -0

I do wonder if all the protesters and rioters are encouraged to get tested to make the number numbers look worse, just to cause more fear. They appear to all be young and in a super-low risk category, so no harm for them being out and contracting the virus. I am glad they are spreading it around, so we can get closer to herd immunity.

This is brilliant to have pence say it. What will happen is the media will try to convince people that they know better than the vice president of the united states of merica. They will look stupid doing so in the process and red pill even more people showing that the media is the eminny, and nothing but a big fear mongering asshoe.
