Thank you VP Pence...I'm starting hear talk of second wave here where I live. Total bs. No one cares and no one is going to lock down again. NEVER!

The people in blue Texas cities really believe it.

The leftist faction of those people think we're all incredibly selfish for not wearing a mask in all public places or for re-opening a business, and they're full of hate and vitriol about it. They also lump us all in with assholes who go into stores to purposefully cause trouble by blowing on things, and who scream at or assault employees asking them to wear masks.

I spoke to more rational people who are concerned about it. All of them said they know someone in the medical community who has seen terrible things, or have a friend or friend of a friend who died from it. They're not demanding everyone stay home; but I can see why they'd want people to wear a mask and social distance.

Same shit in El Paso. An idiotic but vocal minority want to reinstate the lockdown. I have to assume they live with their parents.

Thinking about moving to Texas, what’s a good area for raising kids that’s not a liberal shithole but not in the middle of nowhere

I live in Williamson County which borders north of Travis county which is Austin. Supposedly Williamson is one of the most conservative counties in the state. So maga folks who love the Austin area tend to flock to Williamson. I see almost a night and day difference when going to businesses in both of these counties.

There are plenty of great suburban towns outside of the major cities of Texas. I’ll be moving from Houston down to Sugarland soon. It’s a great town with fantastic schools and about 30 minutes from downtown Houston if you need to commute.

Yet in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston the cities are all finding ways around Abbott's EO, imposing fines for businesses that done require masks, for example.

But but but the news said their is a spike and they have seen an increase of up to 30%.....funny how they didn’t put any real numbers behind that 30% For all we know is asymptomatic cases went from 10 to 13 somewhere <— that’s 30%

Also, these spikes happen when you are doing close to 500k tests in the aggregate a day. TDS is eroding people's brains where they can't do math. As long as metrics like hospitalizations and positivity rates plateau and drop, we should fully reopen. Also, why are we still in Covid season? This death toll keeps tallying when they stop counting for flu seasons by now. Crowder pointed this out on the latest Change My Mind and I thought it was a good point.

I got an invitation in the mail today to “test for anti-bodies” If positive, I have zero doubt that will be used to show a “spike” in positive tests.

Indeed -- our gestapo in Oregon just hard mandated face masks in all public places / businesses and outdoors... I'm be on a trail, in the woods, sneezing on shit in the full open and don't even think about what I'll do on my boat

It’s been like that in Massachusetts for months. Meanwhile our Governor gave the OK for the mayor of Boston (another blowhard) to hold a 10,000+ person protest for BLM. However, he’s threatening small businesses that he deemed “aren’t essential”, by saying he can force city officials to change the locks on their businesses if they do not comply and stay closed. It’s fucking ridiculous.

We should never fall for this Coronascam again. My worry is they(New World Order commies) will release a real virus(not a scam virus like COVID), and then blame conservatives because we didn't buy the first beta test which was all fake and inflated numbers.

I personally said our US constitution must always stand, and our rights protected. We should have never forced lockdown. If people want to willfully do it, or willfully self quarantine, fine. And I don't care if a disease has a. 02% death rate or a 50% death rate. Our rights are absolute above all else. Nothing should ever suspend or disbarr them.

Really pissed the media destroyed the public’s faith in them to at least report on a potential biohazard honestly.

We all get they are partisan hacks politically. But I still had hoped that if a zombie apocalypse were coming I could trust them.

Nope. They lie. About EVERYTHING.

Now they destroyed that good faith over a non-issue, seasonal like flu! If a real serious threat does ever actually happen, I’m not gonna believe them until people start dying all around me.
