So, to work on an amicable resolution one idea might be that there could be a GoFundMe set up to get funds to purchase the statue with the agreement that the artist will not attempt to install another or similar. I'm sure there are other ways to work within the laws if someone wanted it gone. I don't remember the full details but I do remember it was already litigated and lost.
