For all the officers knew, he was out driving around drunk beforehand and just luckily didn't get in an accident. Then, knowing if he was arrested he would violate terms of his parole for BEATING HIS KID AND WIFE, and go back to jail, he resisted arrest, beat the officer, grabbed the officer's weapon, and tried to use in on him. There's no way to explain here that Rayshard did not get 100% what he deserved here. If the officer didn't shoot him, we would have a dead or probably gravely injured officer.
