yes, I have. I also know they weren't going to take those cases in an election year especially ones like this.
I know it's hard for a lot of people to understand the unwritten rules of our government because our leaders are all liars and give false reasons for everything they do but here it is....The SCOTUS is political and has always been political. It's a myth that they are apolitical and are above being influenced.
The SCOTUS is deliberately not taking tough cases this year because they don't know who is going to win the Presidency and they don't know if a certain person is going to remain on the bench much longer. These are their daily ruminations.
What they are trying to do is stay out of the fray and lay low. I know it doesn't seem that way to us but they are trying to appease both sides.
Oh stop with the hysteria! I know how on edge a lot of solid right wingers are right now but let's not lose our heads!
To make the sweeping necessary changes we need in the courts, we need a 6-3 or 7-2 SCOTUS make up. I'm sorry but no SCOTUS with a 5-4 has ever been much more than a place holder court being all mamby pamby and wishy washy.
The fact is, we need Trump so that we can get to the point were we can make those sweeping changes.
Perspective is important. Knowing limits is important.
In the recent past that's been true since the 1980's when Reagan put Sandra Day O'Connor on the bench, we've had a 5-4 split the entire time. That won't hold if we get another Trump term and get 6-3 or 7-2. Especially if we can impeach Roberts over the FISC violations.

Yep, the SCOTUS is certainly not living up to their mandate.
The decisions they are reaching are internally incoherent and absurd.
This shows we need a 6-2 or 7-3 majority to actually get them to do the right thing they should have been doing all along.
