No it is not as bad now in reality. Race riots, anti-war riots went on and on.
But we could live our lives mostly without a 24/7 onslaught. The nightly news however was enough to keep it in the forefront.
Guess that's the point I was trying to make. I never watched the nightly news until i was out of high school. Today we have access to everything, whether good or bad, every second of every day. I have two grown sons and i felt bad watching them go through school because they were tied to a phone at all times. They can't fathom what life would be like without them, as most of can't. To me , that is the reason it is worse today, it feels unhealthy at times. Off my soapbox now...
