The black athlete who invented it wasn't even consulted. Says it isn't racist. Doesn't matter.

Oh, he must have been though - because he did it. I heard he also made the OK sign a few times too.

2012 WAS THE CHINESE YEAR OF THE BLACK WATER DRAGON and there is only one "black water dragon" I'm familiar with.

How is THAT racist?

The article says that apparently during slavery and into the 20th century black babies were used as alligator bait and Time magazine in 1923 reported the practice of use black children as alligator bait had taken place in a town called Chipley, Florida. Doesn't seem to be proven though.

Apocryphal at best.

Just lunacy really. They are just going to try to find "racism" in everything no matter how far back they have to go.

I call bullshit on that.

Of course. These people just dig farther and farther back until they can find one little thing to get outraged over. Look at the article and see all the virtue signalling tweets from staff and alumni. It's sad and pathetic. I'd like to see their reaction to someone asking how they feel about black babies being aborted. It would probably be the same as those woke healthcare workers.

The trick is, is wasn't - but someone found a way to make it racist. So, now everyone who did it is a racist. You just weren't looking hard enough to see what it really meant, all along. Like Pepe.
