Yes i find the socratic method to be the most effective. Get them to agree to fundamentals unrelated to the final subject, that way you have a concrete arena built in their minds. Then you can finally bring in the argument after they have been primed, even if they consciously reject it, they cannot subconsciously reject a sound logical conclusion.

That was terrible, he succeeded in nothing but badgering her lol. Although seeing Pelosi Karen out is always worth it so thanks for that haha. Not a nuanced socratic method though, repeating one question over and over until the other person storms out in anger.
